1. things connected by constraints CANNOT be constrainted

they just

bug out infinitely if they get hit by something

2. where are gears in this game

belts cannot make gear ratios, nor ANYTHING in this game can, which prohibits you from making tons upon TONS of more machines

3. yeah it's wire lengths

i can imagine someone uses this but i'd prefer infinite activation and electricity cables

4. poorly coded engine

5. the whole game is carried by mods made by other people, just signaling how much effort could have been put in the game, but random people did it all better than the DEVS THEMSELVES

this game is a "sandbox"

you can only build tons of machines, but never use gears/gear ratios

basically just a simulator of torturing people for sociopathic and psychopathic people

i get that's the point of the game but

if you offer physics, builders shall utilize it

yet, i cannot

this game is just terrible for building things

and yes, MELON PLAYGROUND is better than whatever this "game" is

it generates black and white images that are trying to be similar to the last added 15 example images! Heres the link

I've wondered this for a while and want to ask, why cant People Playground have mods to attach limbs from different entity's? The "Prosthesis" mod is basically that with metal parts, but I wish I was able to rip someones head off and attach it to another body and Frankenstein them together. I've seen mods where limbs can be reattached to their original body, but I wanna know why I can't make Frank stein abominations. If this mod does exist I'd love to see it but I've heard that the way entitys work makes this impossible? So can someone explain why? Thank you

nobody can use contraptions due to some update now i think

I didn’t install any new mods, or change the game in any way. It was working perfectly fine yesterday I don’t know what happened. I disabled all of my mods and it still showed up. I don’t know what to do, I really don’t want to have to delete everything and reinstall it because I’ve already had to do that twice and it pisses me off.

Honestly about time, they have a ton of community issues, especially orders.

none of my saves are working because of a deserialisation error. I do have a backup so idk if that might help

step by step tutorial to fix your contraptions not loading. also im assuming you are on windows, because im on windows, idk if it works on other things,

find this file and back it up, it is your contraptions file, this is what you want to protect, win+r

now we need to go to a version before this bug came to be, the most recent one is aug 9, steam doesnt easily give you it, but you can get it via the console. win+r

steam://open/console

now the console is open, enter

download_depot 1118200 1118201 7435198814107509496

this takes that recent version and downloads it on a separate folder, here. win+r

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\content\app_1118200\depot_1118201

now we need to go to this deposit and find the contraptions folder, go back to the one saved on your desktop and copy it, and replace the empty one in the depot,

run the application in the depot and use that till the absent father that is devoleping this dying game fixes it.
