Hello guys. Ikakasal na kami this coming Feb 2027. We're planning to buy a car sa Jan 2027. First and only car namin as a married couple and we're planning to start a family next year. Mas preferred namin ang SUV or MPV. We decided na mag stick sa Japanese brands pero natetempt pa rin kami na piliin ang BYD due to their prices. Sa Sampaloc, Manila kami titira (final na) and ako ang madalas na gagamit ng car. Sa Santa Rosa, Laguna ang work ko, 6 days a week ang work, so araw araw uwian commute ko back and forth. Para makatipid sa gas, hybrid vehicle na ang kukunin namin. Ang budget ay around 1.3M to 1.6M. May gamit naman kaming sasakyan as of now, a Honda sedan, hiram ko lang sa parents. Once na we buy a car of our own, di ko na siya magagamit yung Honda.

What are your thoughts on the new Everest Active? Is it worth it considering that it comes with a 5 year free PMS and it already has the timing chain instead of the wet belt?

Hi guys! I just purchased a 2026 Montero Sport GLX with manual transmission in Silver Metallic.

Since it’s already late 2026, and cars are becoming more high-tech with advanced features and EVs becoming more common, do you guys think it’s still worth getting a relatively low-tech model like this at this point?

Also, what do you think about the Silver Metallic color? I’m starting to notice that it has this kind of “faded metal” look, and I’m wondering if I made the right choice. 😅
