Shaker Motor Pokémon Premium

Hey everyone,

I recently picked up a Pokemon Premium Pinball as my very first pinball machine and I’m waiting for it to arrive. Since I’m still pretty new to the hobby, I had a question for owners who have added (or decided against adding) a shaker motor to this specific machine.

Do you feel a shaker motor is worth it on Pokemon Pro/Premium? Does the game make good use of it, and during which moments does it usually activate (multiball, big catches, special modes, etc.)?

I’ve also read that some people adjust the shaker intensity by changing/regulating the motor weights because factory settings can sometimes feel too strong or distracting depending on the game. Did anyone here feel the need to tune it down or customize it for Pokemon Premium specifically?

Would love to hear your experiences and recommendations before I order one.

Thanks!

My best score on World Cup Soccer 94

I did my best score on World Cup Soccer 94 at Arcade Warehouse in Doncaster. Not only that, I’m also in the Billionaire’s Club. I can do more than that next time.

Pokedex on Pokemon Pinball

We received our Pokemon pinball machine last week and I was wondering if the machine is supposed to keep track on the number of unique Pokémon caught. I know that a personal Insider Connected account keeps track but is the machine itself supposed to track unique Pokémon caught? On our home machine when not logged into Insider Connect the first Pokemon caught says 5/191. Stern support said the machine does not track but I could have sworn the machine at our local arcade said something like 80/191 caught and I was not using Insider Connected.

Rumor LEGO Pinball

I don’t know how true this is but it would be very cool if it was.

Bootleggers: Open Source Pinball Project

I recently became aware of this project so I figured I'd share. I myself am not a part of the team making this.

Bootleggers is an open source project by PinForge that is currently in development. They've finished a lot of the design and are now working on code. They have a prototype whitewood with the final layout as well.

My understanding is that once fully released, all the code and schematics will be open source, and they'll also release guides for how to actually build a machine beginning to end.

My plan is to use this as a way to get my toes wet with creating my own homebrew machines from scratch. I think some of you might be interested as well for the same reason.

World of TMNT advance purchase available tomorrow

Wonderland's World of TMNT home pinball pre-sales open tomorrow.

Pre-sale prices $849 for standard and $1,149 for Turtle Power Edition which includes a Shredder acrylic topper and five 3D playfield figures (4 turtles + Shredder) instead of the flat acrylic ones. Not sure 5 figures and an acrylic topper is worth $200. Also not sure if the whole thing is worth $849.

I haven't played the Alice one. But I am a huge TMNT fan. I'd love to get the Stern machine and the old Data East one but $$$. Tempted on this one.

What do we think?

I just came to brag.

Awful ball one.

Completed Bookworm, cat woman, joker, and failed Mr freeze on ball 2. Extra ball counts as third ball. Mistakenly played Mad Hatter season 1 instead of 3 but beat him, Freeze, dumbly chose Egghead 3 instead of two, got triple playfield, bat turn, finished riddler and gadget hit to race through all 5 penguin hits, then started villain escape before finishing egghead and had it all running through battusi and THen drained for villain escape with the jackpot over 22million.
Last 2 balls (second extra ball) got basically nothing. I’m so stoked!!!

Market?

Is there a good market for pinball machines that don't work? Just inherited 2 and know absolutely nothing about them. Plugged in and they light up but nothing else.

What's your favorite/most memorable moment on a pinball machine?

Mine was beating Black Knight Sword of Rage (pro)

after you beat the black knight it shows an animation of you putting on the black knight helmet and you becoming the black knight. It was EPIC!!!

A high score of 134,370.

Is this a respectable high score? I rolled the machine. My landlady has this in the basement we’re renting and I have nothing to compare the score to.

Are there any mobile ports of modern machines?

I've been playing the williams app for about a year and it's fun but it would be nice to be able to play some more recent titles on my phone. I see that zen has fake jaws on their mobile app which was insanely disappointing after trying the stern versions.

Alice Goes to Wonderland-Bubble in playing field

Has anyone purchased one of these after the Kickstarter run? I played one at Nebraska Furniture Mart and it had this weird raised bubble in the middle of the playing field. It seems this is a known issue. Does anyone know if this has been fixed in later runs? Thanks

Do cooling fans REALLY make a difference?? Opinions?

Some of my Pinball’s have cooling fans some of my newer ones do not do these even do anything or make a big difference in the long-term. Are they really necessary to install in every machine if you play long sessions I have not really noticed any difference at all between the ones that have them and the ones that don’t have them….

Not bashing them or praising them I just haven’t noticed a difference..

Pinball: Stellar Wars I NEED HELP.....still!

Stellar Wars, Williams system 4,

Upgrades: Kouhout PCB power supply

Kohout PCB soundboard

  1. My machine was working and it was having issues the repair guy didn't fix before he took off and never came back. The issues were when the flippers were activated they would sometimes register points and would make programmed sounds. When he first showed up the issues were that the 28volt flipper in and out where registering zero volts at the digital auto reader on the power supply board. Also there were 2 separate lights out on the board 28 volt flipper in and 28 volt flipper out. The machine wouldn't start and now it's doing the same thing.

When I run the auto test I am not getting the pop bumpers in the upper middle right and left numbers 19 and 20 to activate but they activate when I touch them? Also the flippers will work when I push them but again they are making computer sounds.

The game will not start when I hit the credit button at any time.

How can I fix this? I've checked continuity through each fuse and the wires but I don't think it is that anyway because I can actuate the flippers when I press them during the auto check and I still get the flips making sounds. I don't know why the 2 pop bumpers won't accurate during the auto test but will if I physically touch them. And most of all I don't know why the 28 volt does not register in flipper In or out preventing me from starting a game.

Please help me through this because it's too specific to keep at what information is out there.

I need some good advice.

Lw3 data east connectors?

Hi. Does anyone know what female connectors I need to replace?

I think they're a type of molex? Some feel like a good squeeze would destroy the connector. And the GI keeps going go out, and I have to poke something in the gap to push the wires back.

I'd quite like a kit and a crimp to replace them all?
