Can I get into Plaksha in 2027 despite my marks and family situation?
Hi everyone! I need some honest advice from Plaksha students or anyone familiar with its admissions process.
Last year, during my Class 12, my younger sister was diagnosed with AML (blood cancer). Managing everything at home alongside boards and entrance exam preparation was extremely difficult, and my performance was affected.
My scores:
- Class 12 overall: 80%
- JEE Main: 89 percentile (AIR 1,83,395)
Despite everything, I got into VIT Vellore for B.Tech CSE Core and joined in July 2026.
Unfortunately, my sister has now relapsed with T-ALL and is undergoing treatment again. A bone marrow transplant is being planned, and I am expected to be her donor. Because of this, I'm considering withdrawing from VIT and applying to colleges again in 2027.
I'm still determined to pursue B.Tech in CSE/AI and build a career in tech. Plaksha interests me, but I'm unsure whether my academic profile is competitive enough.
My questions:
- Is admission to Plaksha in 2027 realistic with my scores?
- Can projects, essays, and interviews strengthen my application?
- Would withdrawing from VIT or taking a gap year affect my chances?
- Are scholarships or financial aid available?
I'd really appreciate honest advice from students or anyone who knows the admissions process. I want to understand whether Plaksha is a realistic goal for me.
