New curator here: How do you get artists to actually follow the playlist?

Hey guys,
I recently started curating an indie playlist and have been opening submission threads here. I love finding new music and genuinely listen to every track, adding the ones that fit.
Here is my issue: artists are super excited to get added, but despite me asking, almost none of them actually follow the playlist. The follower count just isn't moving.
As a new curator, what's the trick? How do you encourage artists to hit that follow button, or where else should I look for actual listeners?
Thanks for any advice!

Playlist of the year? CHILL MOOD HOUSE MUSIC MIX.

This playlist will ruin other playlists for you.

You know that feeling when a track drops and everything just clicks — the groove, the soul, the energy? VOL 01 is built around that feeling.

Chill House. Deep House. Progressive House. Tropical House. Hand-picked. No algorithms involved. No AI slop — every single track chosen by human ears.

I keep adding to it. If you follow it, you'll never miss a drop.

[Request] Guys help me create a playlist of best songs I can listen to while working.

I would like songs which are mostly music/EDM kind, so that I don't get distracted (I get distracted and start singing).

Although all types of songs are welcome.

TIA
