Okay zeta, I'm not mad anymore (also, I think the app is back to 17+? Correct me if I'm wrong)

Is it over for zeta now? Any and all NSFW content is being blocked. I'm probably uninstalling if that's the case. Any updates, or is it time to find another app again?

At zeta, we take the safety of our users seriously and continuously review and strive to improve our service to provide a safe and reliable experience for everyone.

Regulations surrounding AI services and app store review policies have been rapidly changing, while expectations for AI safety are also becoming more rigorous. To reflect such changes and evolving safety standards, we are updating our content moderation and chatting policies.

As a result, certain plots that raise significant safety concerns may be removed, and Unlimited mode chatting may be restricted for some plots.

Removal of Certain Plots

Plots that contain settings or content that violate zeta's Usage Policy may be removed.

In particular, stricter standards may apply to plots that depict minors in inappropriate sexual or violent contexts. zeta uses automated AI filtering systems to determine whether plots may violate our policies.

If you believe your plot was removed in error, please submit an appeal with the plot name or link through Customer Support. We will review your request and follow up with you.

Restrictions on Unlimited Mode

Unlimited Mode is designed to provide a more open-ended chat experience by applying more relaxed safety standards than Safe Mode.

However, because these safety standards are more relaxed, conversations involving particularly sensitive topics—such as minors, self-harm, or suicide—may be more likely to develop in inappropriate or harmful directions.

Our goal is to preserve the freedom and openness of Unlimited Mode as much as possible while maintaining appropriate safeguards in situations where these risks are especially high. For this reason, we have adjusted some of the standards that apply to Unlimited Mode.

[Unlimited Mode Criteria]

Unlimited mode conversations may be restricted for plots that fall under the following categories:

• The character is a minor, or could be perceived as a minor based on their appearance or settings
• The plot encourages or glorifies self-harm or suicide, or depicts specific scenes or methods

We understand that these changes may affect user experiences. We ask for your understanding that these measures are necessary for zeta to continue providing long term open and immersive experience our users expect while adapting to evolving safety standards and regulatory requirements to operate reliability.

We will continue to review how these standards are applied and work to minimize cases where legitimate creativity and conversation are unnecessarily restricted. We will also do our best to provide advance notice of future policy changes that may affect your experience.

i need to find more active zeta community but reddit is the only fairly active one T_T, is there anything else thats im missing on i seen zeta ai chats gets like hundreds thousands chats so im sure there community is bigger right?

Like I’m mature enough for any topic. But suddenly it keeps having that pop up at any sign of “mild” language or similar. I can’t even say “f*** off.” I’ve been a user of Zeta for six months now and nothing like this has ever popped up. 😭

I just wanted to start a new conversation, but that thing always comes up and I have to close the app and open it again.

It kept progressing in every response and eventually became innapropriate. The AI added this detail randomly and never dropped it, it does a different form of this in like every roleplay

I really liked how it was going too, I just didn’t notice the detail when it was shoved on me the first time and now I have to delete every message since and edit them all back without the vine 😔

EDIT: It broke my immersion really bad and I still can’t find it in me to continue the bot, even though I loved it before this happened

Just a question since I'm new to this app, there's a "switch to private chat" option, does that mean our chats are public by default?

So, I'm trying to make a new bot from a Harry Potter character but I'm a little scared it's deleted because I already had so many characters —with nothing explicit on the description— any advice? Because the bot would touch more mature matters like bullying and abusive parents and I don't want to be banned 🤧

I'm not necessarily one to post so recently again after my first, but this is actually insanity at this point. Zeta had allowed NSFW openly, we were able to create plots that were a little more on the edgy side, had the freedom to create things that felt original and had life to it. It's all been killed at this stage I believe.

It's wild that it had an age rating of mature and has been dropped to PG just like that. Wow.

I could've chosen not to update the app, but regardless I'd be faced with a permanent pop up in app that won't let me bypass unless the application was updated. So, idk, rip Zeta. It had a good run.
