PLM Registrar (Missing Docs)

Good day! Anyone from plm na nawalan ng mga important documents after ilang days pagka submit sa registrar? They don’t have any documentation na nagsubmit ka. I’ve also sent an email regarding my concern pero until now I’ve didn’t receive any response from registrar. It’s more than a month na since I’ve submitted my documents to registrar.

Any help? What should I do? Can I have an email that I can include in my email (via CC) in my next follow up para naman kabahan at kumilos sila?

Is PLM’s pre-enrollment advisory #2 considered enrollment?

Hello! So for context, dream school ko talaga is UP, and PLM is my backup school. I didn’t pass UP (aww) but I passed PLM (yay)

Before UPCAT results, ginawa ko na yung pre-enrollment advisory #1 which was the health check-up.

Now I received an email from PLM asking me to come and submit my F-137, F-138 and birth cert on May 21. The email also told me there would be picture-taking for ID.

The thing is, I still really want to try my luck appealing sa UP since I got a fairly high UPG of 2.2xx, pero apparently sa June pa daw magsisimula yung general appeals(?)

I just want to know if I will be considered “enrolled” by PLM once I submit my documents to them. Medyo nakakalito rin kasi wording nila sa email about it. 😭😭😭 Baka kasi pahirapan na mag-withdraw if ever my UP appeals are successful…

Practicality over my dream

Parang soon, depression will took my life. Nad-depress na ako right now, not because of some shallow emotions but because of my academic timeline.

I was reconsidered applicant at Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM), accepted ako through reconsideration pero hindi priority course yung nakuha ko which is Nursing. They gave me BSED-Eng. They've stated na reconsidered applicants will automatically denied yung LOI, or parang request to change program. So the only option for me is to shift after a year.

Since wala ng other option, as in wala nakong option. PLM was my last resort. We can't afford private schools to pursue my desire to be a nurse. Napaka sakit. Ilang weeks ko ng iniiyak 'to.

Shifting at PLM was never been easy, they said. Uulit ka ng 1st year, I don't mind kahit hindi ko makasabay grumaduate mga ka-batch ko, as long as I pursue the course I wanted. They also told me na walang kasiguraduhan ang shifting process kasi ubusan ng slots. It's a 50/50 chance for me. Risk it or lose it literal.

Maybe for others sasabihin na "ang babaw naman" but for me, it's my future right there. I prepared for Nursing for almost 7 years. Yes, pinag hirapan ko makakuha ng high grades during my Junior and Senior year kasi nga sabi ko priority of state universities are those students who got high grades. I took stem as my senior strand, kahit ayoko kasi I hate math and science — but because of my love for nursing, pinilit ko, tiniis ko, isinam-buhay ko.

And I come to realized, ganito ba talaga maging mahirap? Kahit pangarap mo kailangan mo bitawan. It's more of practicality over a dream. Napaka hirap maging mahirap.

Kaya to those who given the privilege to study, pag butihin niyo. Dahil napakaraming gustong makapag aral.

UPM OT vs PLM Emed dilemma

good day! i really need help in deciding whether to pursue UPM OT or PLM Emed. i'm really set to pursue OT na after all the CETs are released. however, i got reconsidered in PLM Emed (accelerated medicine program). before, i was really set na to pursue medicine that's why i tried the accelerated medicine programs. but now, i'm starting to love OT (i rejected other acceperated medicine programs kasi mahal) plano ko sana if magdecide na po ako hindi mag medicine after OT at least i have a back up plan.

thank you so much!

Torn between UPD BS Econ and PLM Accelerated Medicine (eMed)

Hi! I'm an incoming freshman from a science high school and I'm stuck between two very different paths. Would really appreciate some perspective.

The options:

UPD BS Economics vs PLM Accelerated Medicine (eMed)

My situation:

I come from a middle-class family. My parents are fully supportive and said they'll back me until I graduate, but we'll have to tighten our finances either way so I want to make this count. They gave me the freedom to choose, which honestly makes it harder.

A bit about me:

I'm a science high school grad (4th from my batch), strong in science, and I've joined multiple research competitions and science quiz bees. Math is not my strongest subject which makes me second-guess Econ sometimes. I'm genuinely aware that medicine means being okay with being underpaid and overworked especially in the PH context, but I'm not sure if I'm at peace with it yet. Honestly I don't fully know what I want yet, and that's the core of my problem.

What's pulling me toward eMed: My science background feels like a natural fit, and the accelerated program means I get to skip the premed grind. But the financial and emotional cost of medicine is real, and I don't want to commit to something this heavy without being sure.

What's pulling me toward Econ: It's UP, the degree is versatile, and there are so many career paths that open up. But I worry about the math load and whether I'll find it fulfilling long-term.

For those who took either path or switched between them, what do you wish you knew before deciding? Is it okay to enter medicine without being 100% sure yet? And for Econ peeps, how math-heavy is it really in UP?

I'd also love to hear from people actually working in either field what does the starting salary realistically look like, and how wide are the career opportunities? Like for Econ grads, what industries do you usually end up in? And for doctors, is the pay really as discouraging as people say, especially in the first few years after residency?

Thanks in advance 🙏

For students or applicants of PLM/PUP, how strict are these schools when it comes to Grade 11 grades during admissions?

I had a few line of 7 grades back in Grade 11, including one below 75, so I’ve been wondering how much impact that usually has during the application process. I’ve seen mixed answers online—some say it’s still possible to qualify while others say it can be a major factor.

Can I pull out my enrollment in PLM?

Hi! I just received an email from PLM, saying that I must submit my F138, F137, and Birth Cert on June 3 (8am). Coincidentally, the results for the DLSU SFA scholarship releases on June 3, and UP will also probably give an update regarding their waitlisted applicants.

What should I do? PLM also gave me a request for my F137 from my SHS school, and I have yet to submit it. I must also upload the requirements in the portal before June 3.

For context, PLM kinda became my safety net. I really want to pursue DLSU, but I need a scholarship for it. As for UP, I’d choose it over PLM if ever I get out of the waitlist.

If ever I do pass my requirements on site and on the portal, can I still pull it out?

CALLING OUT STUDENT LEADERS AND THE ADMINISTRATION - UNAUTHORIZED SOLICITATION ON STUDENTS

Calling out the attention of CN student leaders and administration

There are 2 BLOCKS that had a duty rotation in a health center this semester. This May we received an announcement that we are being requested to donate 150 PESOS each student for a total of nearly 13000 pesos total. The deadline was moved from May 6 to tomorrow, May 11, 2026 and that we need to upload our proof of payment in a Google Drive for “tracking purposes”. 100 pesos is reported to be for staff food, 50 pesos is for buying an equipment.

The collection has no formal announcement nor memo from the Dean or BOR. Under the RA 5546, unauthorized solicitation and collection is not allowed, mandatory or voluntary as strengthened by the RA 10931. Look it up!

Many students felt pressured and were complaining regarding this collection, fellow classmates felt forced in giving the money as it wasn’t clear if this will have an impact on the academic standing and clinical grades, as no formal announcement were made.

Few were struggling and felt powerless in getting the money just to give here. And feared speaking up against this collection. Why is this being relayed by the officers not through an official announcement. As scholars and students of a tuition-free university this is unfair and coercive.

Please uphold the integrity of our profession and the rights of us, the students.

BAGONG LMS

Nabanggit ni Pres Sonny sa sopa nya na magkakaron daw ng bagong gagamitin ang students next AY ah. So hnd na AIMS kundi canvas na

Ano ang good features nito? And mas aayos ba ang flow ng enrollment or other academic related things if ito na ang bagong lms?

Worth it ba ang BS Bio?

Hello, upcoming freshie here! I feel really conflicted because I recently got accepted in CEU for BS Nursing, but I also have BS Bio in PLM. Worth it ba ang BS Bio sa PLM? Maganda ba ang turo? Marami bang opportunities ang nabibigay after grad? I'm also worried about the work opportunities after grad, since non-board program ang BS Bio, and it may be difficult to find jobs after graduation (over naman sa advanced mag-isip?!). Thank you po sa mga sasagot!
