Plushie idea, no drawing— storm bunny!

I love storms. I’ve loved them since I was a child. They mean so much to me, they make me feel like I can stretch out my limbs. Overcast and stormy days are sometimes the best days for me to go out in due to medical conditions triggered by hot weather and sunlight.

I also recognize the danger they can (and often do) cause and sometimes my love gets mixed with anxiety or guilt.

I would love to have a storm bunny plush as a sort of protective friend for those days, and someone to understand how much the rain and lightning mean to me. There’s actually several different meteorological symbols for weather types, with ☈ representing thunderstorms! There’s a lot of design possibilities there, and if you really wanted to get down to it, a red sprite lightning squid would make a fantastic huggable eldritch horror.

Would also love to see this bunny with aviator goggles. Did you know there are hurricane hunters who fly into tropical cyclones to gather data?

I believe this could connect with a lot of people even in a metaphorical way.

I hope this doesn’t fall under the category of submissions that cannot be accepted. I’d just love to see a plushie with this theme from you.

Is there any way to make soft textures rougher so I can touch them?

I ordered Plaid Love Bunny to be my buddy while I recover from surgery since he looks like how I feel.

I have texture issues. This super soft stuff that everybody seems to love is like fingernails on a chalkboard to me. It makes my teeth hurt and makes my hands feel dirty and dusty for like five minutes afterward. I expected to not be able to touch the chest heart and was prepared to avoid it like the tummies on the new Care Bears.

While I didn’t expect the wooly fur, it’s not horrible Sherpa and not only can I touch it, but I kinda like it.

The problem is the plaid parts. I expected them to be like a flannel or like quilt fabric, something people would use to patch up something torn. Instead, it’s this soft crap I can’t touch.

Does anybody know of a way to roughen this kind of fabric up so I can cuddle my buddy? All of my Google searches come up with results for keeping things soft or making them soft after they get rough and none of the results give instructions on how to do the opposite.

I’m desperate. Halp!

My first little rabbit from Plushie Dreadfuls has arrived. She is incredibly soft, and very sweet. I'm just so happy with her.

Awaiting My First Dreadful

Hello everyone! I'm currently awaiting my first Dreadful to arrive, and I'm very excited. My husband had me pick one out to help cheer me up recently, and while it was a tough decision I think I picked the right rabbit for me. I went with a Plaid Love Rabbit as I feel like that design really covers a lot of things as a whole for me. That one really grabbed my attention (and heart)... I have a name picked out, BUT, I want to make sure it suits her before we commit to it. I've been drawing her and some others, I'm just so excited.

I wanted to say hello to the group! And, maybe, ask what you all have figured out works for clothing? Someone had mentioned some BAB clothing works when I asked elsewhere, and I do have some on hand. I went and picked out a ribbon to give to her when she arrives, too.

I've been looking at the posts here over the last few days quietly, having forgot I had this account, while sick. I'm excited to post and meet everyone. I would love to see your favorites or collections! I'm also interested in hearing any stories anyone may want to share about their experiences with these stuffed animals. Thank you for reading!
