Favorite Modern Poets Album?
I'm a new listener, just found these guys about six weeks ago.
HOLY COW, they're genuinely already my new favorite band. The classy, poetic lyrics, the fact that pretty much every song is about something human and important, the brilliant diversity of sound from song to song and album to album, and just the fact that it all sounds SO GOOD.
They touch my soul in a way no other band has in the past, and I'm so excited to continue listening.
With that said, I've worked my way back through their discography and have listened to each album at least once, but I'm still the most familiar with the most recent four.
So, what's your guys' favorite of those 4? Jealous Gods, Clearview, Ultraviolet, and Ghostlight?
Ghostlight was my introduction to their music, and it's a beautiful album. But I think Jealous Gods actually takes the cake for me. So much variety in that album, something about it just sings for me. What about you guys?
