Quick after work spin

I made my partner a pair of sock poi in December, I used a nice cotton fabric (non stretch) and they are tearing by the handles from usage. I’m happy he’s playing with them so much but he asked me to make a third and I want to re- do the whole set but want to switch fabrics.
Any recommendations on type of fabric? I attached photos of the rips in the fabric
After a week of practicing, this is where my archer weaves are at. I run my hand up and down my arm after each spin, even though the tutorials I watch keep the hand close to the face, going over and under the armpit only. Should I keep it that way? I think it’ll help me go into Archer weave fountains easier but any advice is appreciated!
You guys were real good last time with recommendations. I'm familiar with Flow toys and how great they are. Everybody seems to have only positive things to say about them.
I'm interested in ordering a LED set now. Do any of you have any good shops to recommend where I can find a nice pair of LED Contact pois here in Europe? Saving me €50 for shipping.
Thanks in advance.
Im loving my new setup. Definitely taking some getting used to. They toss way different than my old ones and they spicy.
After extensive googling, I can't find anything!
My husband (32M) and I (27F) are finally having a wedding party/ vow renewal after 10 years together and 3 legally married.
Something huge we bonded over from the start was flow arts. A lot of our friends are also flowmies and family love when hubby spins at parties.
Logistics (i.e. trying to flow in a wedding dress) aside, has anyone seen or heard of this? Bride and groom coming out for a choreographed flow sesh/ first "dance" ? Thoughts? Ideas?
Much love ✌🏻
Tonight is for celebration of the windmill, tomorrow will be to work in new stuff but tonight i felt like i actually am making progress in the right direction and i needed that, it felt so good to just work through what i have down instead of being flustered over the new, tomorrow hopefully ill have some energy for new but tonight i just did what made my heart smile
Just started again about a month ago. Used to be all I did
Ignore my face I’m baked and staring at a shitty phone cam about to goto bed.
My first contact poi just came and I think I have many bruises from them in the last 5 minutes.
They are so heavy compared to my silk ones… but also I feel like I have less control, any tips?
Should I just get a refund and maybe get sock poi instead so I can up the weight gradually instead of go from 80g silks to 150g hard balls…?
Maybe my problem is that it’s hard and I just need to practice but I’m impatient?
Thanks 🙏
Overall I'm really stoked on all the stuff I've been able to learn since rediscovering poi last October. Super excited to keep working on the turn-side stall-CAP thing I did in this, I literally just unlocked that today 🥹
Does this even kind of resemble the starts of a flower lmao
Some days ago I made a post about my 3d printed bubble pois. (https://www.reddit.com/r/poi/s/6yasCXpruo) Now I made the second one and had the possibility to test them. I love them, but I have to figure out, how to last the bubble solution longer.
