Question as I’m new here…

Are people printing some of Christie’s works with ai images And selling them? I ask as I bought a copy of The Mysterious Affair at StyLes and when it came in I was just a bit puzzled by the font size, placement and the ”drawings” that look ai to me. I figured this might be the case here in the US as this particular book is in public domain there.

I just finished my first Poirot book, The ABC Murders And was looking to go back to the first story she wrote.
I've always liked the Belgian sleuth since I was a kid, but I come at this from film. Always enjoyed the Murder on the Orient Express film, but had never read any. It wasn't until my friend told me about the Poirot show that I got truly and madly hooked. As a script writer I wanted to see how they truly adapted one of my favorite episodes, The ABC Murders. I must say it was a really great adaptation.

Adaptation that left you underwhelmed?

Just finished reading Five Little Pigs, and as has become routine once I've finished the book, I've rewatched the relevant Suchet adaptation.

I was left distinctly underwhelmed this time. I thought the changes to the story unnecessary, and the presentation a lot less sophisticated than the way the book is structured.

Any had a similar experience with other adaptations?

My husband is clearly a super fan😅

My husband and I love David Suchet as Poirot. He recently got a tattoo of him on his calf!

Hickory Dickory Dock

Is there any episode funnier than this one? The one where Japp reveals himself to be completely domestically incoherent (that WAS an awful lot of mess in his kitchen) and washed his face in a bidet? Not to mention the face-off over faggots with Poirot? On top of all that, it’s a solid episode, very unique and self-assured.

Agatha Christie’s Poirot

I’ve just started watching this series for the first time. I had caught bits and pieces of it growing up, but nothing that stuck with me at the time.

Now, maybe this is heresy but, my first thought after watching a few episodes is that Poirot and Hastings feel like Jeeves and Wooster in a different font.

And I mean that in the best possible way.

Almost done with my first Poirot book!

I am almost done with my first Poirot book! I am in the final chapters and have enjoyed every second of it. I have decided to start from the beginning once this one is finished though and ordered the Mysterious Affair at Styles. Reading Christie and studying her method has really helped me on writing my own sleuth script for an old school radio drama. Especially as I write season two. Anyway, just wanted to share and enjoy all the posts here.
