Girlfriend luck

My girlfriend pulled the Greninja out of one pack from vending machine.
She has the best luck.
For context, she recently got into Fortnite because she thinks the sprites are cute and she plays from my account.
She’s gotten multiple rare Sprites whereas I’ve gotten none as rare.
Same with ripping packs open she usually has the better luck. Anyway, she likes the Daphne skin and butterfly wings from Fortnite and wants me to buy them for her in exchange for the Greninja card.

First time opening Black Bolt/White Flare

Definitely a good time, it’s too bad this set is so hard to find

a cool sleeve page my grandma gifted me in the mid-2000s

I’m not sure where she got it, but it’s so cool. It’s an 18-card collection by illustrator Keiko Fukuyama. Haven’t ever really seen anyone else mention them online. Just wanted to share. :)

Discovered collection value

I found my old Pokémon card collection clearing out my parent’s house. Not sure what I have here is valuable or worth considering selling. Would appreciate some advice. Thanks in advance.

All I have left of my childhood binder…

Rediscovered these at my moms house a while ago. Seems like I was really holding on to the “dark” Pokémon 😂

Told a coworker I collect pokemon cards and he said "I think I have a couple from when I was a kid if I find them I'll give you them".

I told him what these were worth and he still wanted me to take them. He said "I'll never get around to selling them. I would rather they just go to someone that will appreciate them." They're not in the best condition but I lost all my cards from when I was a kid so to have these vintage cards means a lot to me. I plan on making him a bunch of homemade cookies as a thanks

Card shop threw out collection

Just posting this here for catharsis. My son had a collection of Pokemon cards, some fake, but a good number of genuine, and some random Magic and Yo-Gi-Oh, and other stuff. We had already dealt with this guy, he offered a small sum for a previous bunch we brought him. This time, I followed up after a few weeks and he messaged us saying he threw the entire lot in the garbage because they were "all fake." Never asked us whether we wanted them back. Said he was sorry and that he'd offer a free pack of cards. I'm sorta blown away by this. We did a bunch of research on the cards, especially the vintage ones and there was some real value there, not huge but added up in our eyes and my son would have been happy with a small offer or to just get the cards back.

Anyway, just venting here, as I'm guessing not much can be done at this point.

Was able to find a first illustration box on sale and pulled the kantos!

Me and my fiancee went to her coworker's husbands comic shop for his 4th of July sale. Found a first illustration box for only $50 and can't believe my luck. Bulbasaur is my all time favorite Pokemon.

pulled the mega gengar sir

hello, as the title suggests, i pulled the mega gengar sir last night. i don't have much experience with pokemon cards, but i used 3 online graders and asked a friend who's very familiar with cards and the consensus is that the card is most likely a psa 9 with a small chance to get a 10. seeing as market value for the psa 9 is the same/lower as raw, unsure of whether or not i should grade it. advice would be appreciated

Most profitable IP in the world btw

All from today's pitch black prerelease. It could be due to the recent humidity, but it's crazy that they came out of the packs like this.
