How can I fix my Numark PT01? It plays slowly whenever I try to scratch. What could be causing the problem?

Anyone selling an sc500?

Looking to get one. I think the site has some, but are they still actively producing them? Prefer to find one in the states, if possible. Lmk

Headache Sound: WOW Flutter machine - basic workflow for creating original “samples/cuts” and using them in the machine

First of all before anyone says read your manual, I dare you to read this manual and not have any questions afterwards…

I am interested in hearing everyone’s different and unique methods and workflow for this please

So I get that it’s a simple drag and drop method for loading samples in and out of the machine using a computer (anyone have luck hooking phone up? - I swear it connected to mine and read the machine just like any USB storage device and the after 10am comes that disappears and hasn’t reappeared since)

I guess it might be more a music production thing but if I was to create an original sample/cut of just say my own voice saying “Help Me Reddit”. My process I think is record into DAW, mix and then bounce - my question here is do I bounce it out with a length of 30 seconds (as in manual it says samples 30 seconds) with silence or just as long as however long that audio clip is.
Then I drag n drop into samples folder on machine

Is there any thing I’m missing or extra steps I should take to make. Actually work perfect and sound good or any good app recommendations to get this done more streamlined

The Teenage Engineering OP-XY has a new friend. OP-XY and... scratching?

Had to try something a little different today. Broke out the Wow & Flutter portable turntable. putting these together was fun. Let me know what you think. It's been a while since I've done some scratching (especially to that BPM). I'm gonna keep working on it.

Interested in Getting into Portabilism / Turntables For Scratching... Can that be a Gateway into Noise?

Saw Sid Wilson get booted out his band Slipknot as the resident DJ or really scratcher. Brought me back to my years as a kid. Slipknot was pivotal in my upbringing from transitioning me from generic pop music to heavier and heavier music until it brought me to Merzbow and friends.

I saw that portabiism is a cheap gateway into learning how to scratch. Being a DJ lowkey feels cringe because everyone's a DJ now lol. I mention that in that I dont want to go down the pipeline of a generic DJ archetype you see with new people who barely know their craft and are into it because it's a trend. Ive been a fan of Sid Wilson and an alt fan all my life but never ventured into making my own music or noise. It seems like there is an art to scratching and it feels like Noise with a tempo and it pairs so well with hop hop history, which im hugely into as well outside of heavier music.

I was wondering if there is a set up that could double as a scratching practice and a gateway into Noise making (or some other alt style weird music like break core and so on so forth)

What's everyone's thoughts and if its positive does anyone have gear recommendation for a guy like me?
