A while ago, I came across a post that talked about a potential Skylanders game that would be more based around DND. While the idea itself would be neat, it gave me the idea of creating an actual campaign inspired by Skylanders. And after coming up with some story and plot beats, I'd now like to try looking for some players (it might seem weird that I'm coming to Reddit, but I only have one friend who's actually interested in Skylanders). For those who are curious, here's the basic layout/rules.

- This campaign will take place on Discord (or Reddit if I have to make enough sacrifices, which I hopefully don't cause Discord's way more convenient), and it will be text-based, so you don't need to worry about using VC.

- Most of the gameplay will function like normal DND, but there will be unique items and movesets that will have to be created. You don't need to have too much understanding of DND to play this, as it should be easy enough to pick up on at the start. There may also be a few omissions of certain aspects if they overcomplicate the formula.

- How the stuff itself works is that players will have to pick an existing Skylander that they themselves control. There are only really two limits to picking a Skylander: two players cannot own the same Skylander (the one singular exception is trying to consider Spyro and Dark Spyro as separate characters but even that's a stretch), and for this first draft, we're working with cores and Superchargers only. Giants, Swap Force, Trap Team, Senseis or Imaginators (but the first four being banned is only because they function as NPCs, which you might have permission to control and even temporarily use for battle). So to clarify, this means that you have 82 Skylanders to pick from.
(I don't actually expect 82 players to join in, I currently have 3 players, so I just need anywhere between 1 and 3 more participants.)

- As for the player characters, you will be expected to go off of their current backstories, or at least adapt them to your likings. However, you are free to add other backstory details, such as additional nemeses, historical relevance and so on and so forth. You are given plenty of creativity to take an existing character and make them your own.

So uh, yeah, that's basically it. Only other thing is that I don't recommend joining unless you have a very open schedule, or a very consistent schedule (aka, you're busy, but every Friday or every other Friday is free for you). If you have any interest in this, please let me know below.

Meyhem | Skylanders Next Gen

It's been a long time coming (5 years in fact) but I've finally updated the design of one of my oldest Skylander OCs - Meyhem :D
She's a next gen Tech Supercharger with a hoverboard for her vehicle. It doesn't have a name yet, but I'm leaning towards Vortex, even though that breaks the vehicle naming conventions just a little (if anyone else has any better ideas, please let me know!)

Very happy I can finally show this piece off. I think Ruth did a great job with everything, and its easily one of my favorite artworks someone has made for me.

Rough Story Time
Growing up Spyro and Stealth Elf have always been rather close to one another, being childhood friends and all. They'd often go on small adventures, exploring the nearby forests and mountains. Sometimes after an exhausting day of training or fighting evil, they'd find themselves on a quiet island, besides or on top of each other dozing off for the night. It was a nice way to get away from it all while taking in the comfort of the other's presence.

Over the years they made this a bit of a habit, whether intentional or not. But they didn't mind it, even if it never got brought up. After Kaos ripped the Skylands apart with the Sky Eater, these nights became fewer as they focused on finishing their terms at The Academy. But even still, old habits die hard.

What Is The Best/Most Awesomest Swap Force Combination?

I will now give forth my argument for what I think the best combination is.

The best swap force fusion is Magna Shake.

Reasons Why Magna Shake is so cool and rules and everyone else drools

Tech/Undead is the coolest combination of elements no contest it’s so cool
The specific combo of attacks is god tier, the bone traps combined with the magnet gun arm thing? It absolutely destroys everything so easily and so satisfactorily. The game feel is SO good with this combo especially.
Magna Shake is a silly name and it makes me giggle. Tee hee.
There is no 4th reason.
Snake. :)
They can digging in the ground for tubers.
They shoot green for an amazing reason.
They are bi?? Maybe. 🤔
Technically half cowboy.
They would never misgender you. ❤️‍🩹
