Family and fishing boat.

I’m looking for a boat for my family. We live in Austin and will spend time cruising the lake out here but I mainly want to fish the bays and some offshore in port aransas and nearby areas. I was hoping someone could provide some advice to narrow down our search since we have never owned a boat and realize there is a lot we don’t know. We have been looking at 22’ to 25’ used center consoles. Would like to stay under 80k. Thanks all

December trip with family?

I’m debating a 4 night trip a few days after Christmas with my fam of 5 (3 older kids teen and tween).. we’ve only ever been to port a in the summer months. Never winter. Can I get some insight on if it’ll be a good idea in terms of restaurants that’ll be open then.. or even just weather at that time of year.

Places to stay

Hi all!

I wanted some help finding places to stay in Port A.

I'm going on a couples getaway my just my partner (both in our 30s) in October. Activities we are hoping to do:

- Beach (of course)

- Ocean fishing charter

- Fishing off the beach/Peir

- Drink

- Hopefully pool/jacuzzi (preferably adult only pools, but not necessary)

- Eat some oysters

- Get some yummy food

- Collect seashells

I was looking at renting at one of the resorts (palmilla, cinnamon shore, or sunflower), but was a bit unsure of their locations in respect to the nearby restaurants.

Any other recommendations or opinions on those locations?

Wade fishing spots

We're taking our yearly trip to Port Aransas next week. I usually wade Fish Pass once or twice while we're down there. Are there any other decent walk in spots to wade? Preferably with hard bottoms but I'll take what I can get.
