They Messed Up - What Should I Do?
Okay - so , I saw this truck online after my f250's CP4 pump went out and it had to go to ford for repairs. I do junk removal for a living so I cannot go without a heavy hauler, HD truck.
This was advertised on the website as a Tradesman with 17,500 towing capacity.
Now, this is not dealership slander, it was an honest mistake on their part and they are working with me to make it right thats why I have these questions.
I have a 16foot dump trailer that weighs around 4.5k lbs empty. Tongue weight is 10 - 15% of loaded trailer.
I do junk removal , not dirt removal, we will sometimes get concrete and brick and shingles however. At the current set up - until I get my F250 back, I just can't take too much of that stuff. My loads are around 2500 and my biggest ever weigh in was like 6,000 lbs. and it was almost all busted concrete. But most of my jobs are residential junk - mattresses - couches - i'll fill up long before I hit 4k.
Now... They said they will pay off the loan, and let me pick another vehicle.... Should I?
I would have to get a weight distribution hitch - rear airbag suspension. but it still does not legally increase my payload. And with a 1575 payload off the door sticker ... its something i'd have to watch. Also, the sag is really bad. So I have to get those done asap.
Or did I luck out with a super capable truck that can totally do the job? Plus its lifted, its got a awesome white on it, i like the truck. I just tow literally every single day.
