Quantum 2626 Knob Static

Posting here because most of my searches on Google/Presonus forums have come up empty lol

I bought a used Quantum 2626 about 2 months ago and for the most part I love it! However, I’ve noticed some static/crackling whenever I turn the channel gain, headphone, and main output knobs.

I’ve tried using electronics contact cleaner which helps a little, but it still happens. It does NOT seem to be recorded to the track.

I’m using an M3 MacBook Pro, Quantum 2626 (latest driver installed), Logic Pro 12.2. Anyone else have this issue and been able to fix it? Appreciate any help/suggestions!

PreSonus Eris 4.5 BT making noise

Hey everyone! I just got new PreSonus Eris 4.5 BT studio monitors, and I love them! I am very happy with their sound. The only thing that worries me is that they make a very subtle constant static noise. When playing music it is not audible, but when not playing or when it is, for example, a calm dialogue on a movie scene, I can hear the noise.
Is it normal to have a bit of noise? Should it be absolute silence when on but not playing something? It is very subtle but it is there. If it is normal I would not worry but I want to know if everything is ok. Btw I am using the unbalanced 3.5 mm cable that came with the monitors connected to my laptop.

Thanks for any help!

Struggling with low-range vocal frequencies

Hey guys!

I've been learning mixing and mastering in studio one for the last couple months.

My progress is definitely visible (hearable lol) on many aspects, but there is one which I just can't manage to get around.

Basically what happens is that the vocals simply sound too emphasized in the low range but just on certain parts of the song.

Most of the vocal track sounds good but there are instances where it just sounds too bass boosted. Basically like it resonates on the low-end for a second or two.

It is not extreme, but still annoys me quite a lot as these freqs just escape the normal vocal range and kinda mess with the mix.

Does anyone know if there exists a compressor or anything similar that lowers only specific fq bands if they get to loud in the mix? Or any other solution, really not sure how to solve this nor where else to ask.

Thanks a lot!!

Is there any way to access my presonus account for my product key?

I'm not able to download Fender Studio due to apparently outdated Windows?? I haven't been at my computer for a couple of months, and my Studio One software kicked me out and is now requiring activation. I'd really prefer to keep using Studio One because all of my VSTs and precious mixes are all stored and allocated within the Studio One program, not to mention the issue of not being able to download Fender's version.

I've tried logging in through several websites, and I keep hitting a wall getting brought to Fender

Can You Use a Revelator io 24 without registering it?

I just bought a second hand Presonus Revelator io 24 and I'm looking up how to use it and apparently you have to register it with purchase date and serial number in order to use it, but I have no idea what its original purchase date is and when I tried putting in a random date with the serial number on the bottom (in the picture, it's under "manufacturing date" but that's the serial number, right?) it said serial number not valid. What do I do? Do I need the account of the guy who sold it to me to use it? Can I use it without registering it? Can you even use it with softwares other than StudioOne?

Thank you so much, this is the first audio interface I buy and I'm confused

I could really use some help, guidance, or even resources or a premade template

I’ve been learning about audio engineering, mixing, EQ, compression, etc. for a couple of years now. Granted everything I’ve learned has been through YouTube, Online, or just trial and error. I used to have an ar16c, but I have recently upgraded to a studio live series iii se16 mixer, and Ive FILLED UP my FAT CHANNEL presets, mostly with a bunch of different setting for vocals, some for guitar. All I do is play guitar and sing(not the best singer, but I don’t think I’m the worst either). Anyway, I mostly use a Shure Beta 58A, and I TRY to use my guitars fishman aura system(plugged in), when recording, or playing through my amp/speakers. I also have other mics(sm57, KSM9, mv7x, but don’t USUALLY use them)
For listening/playback, I use Eris 3.5(which always seems very bassy), AND/OR a BOSS acoustic singer amp, that I have ran from the TAPE to the aux input on the back of the amp.

My issue is, I can get it sounding pretty good, out of the amp, but always have issues making things sound good/“glued” when recording. Should I just not use ANY EQ/compression on the mixer before I put into my DAW(studio one)? Or does anyone have any advice or even templates they use for recording vocals with acoustic guitar that I could use? I may be over complicating it, and I also may be just not doing everything “RIGHT”, but I really want to just be good at creating music, and I’m finding myself getting sucked into “mixing” or “pre-mixing” and TRYING to learn about EQ and compression, instead of actually learning/practicing guitar. From what I’ve read, the beta 58a should normally have about 25-35db of gain, but I don’t even reach -12db unless I have it between 40-43db, when I’m setting gain before AND AFTER EQ & compression. It sound best(I think) when I’m at about 32-37db gain, but I don’t reach -12db output then, unless I’m singing the loudest parts. Also I use a hpf at 80-100, but from what I’ve watched and researched, my EQ(vocals) always seems to have WAY MORE bass cut out and way more treble added, than most ppl seem to recommend for it to not sound bassy and muffled. But it’s the only way it ever seems to sound “right”. I’ve created projects and scenes that sound good out of the amp but the speakers(Eris 3.5) always sound too bassy/muffled, and the guitar never sounds good when in the mix(usually too much highs or too loud). There has to be an easier formula. I know I’m not a pro, but mixing ONLY vocals and a guitar shouldn’t be this difficult, right? Any advice is appreciated.

StudioLive 32 SC III Issue

I have the Studiolive 32SC III. Even though many seem to not like presonus, I really like how it operates and i like the workflow and its capabilities. I've used it live and in my garage studio and would like to continue using it, but it has a flaw that keeps me from using it for live gigs.

I have a MacBook hooked up to it for e edrums, I find the types of gigs we do are best met with e drums, and ez drummer is great for that. The problem I have is it will just lock up, stop processing audio and requires a hard reset. Then it works fine. This happens about every hour or two. This happens with both Mac and PC. It may also happen without a computer, but I almost always have a computer hooked up via USB, so I'm not sure.

I've searched for answers on here and other places. I have the most recent firmware and presonus software. I want to continue using this, but will likely replace it worth something more reliable if I can't count on it to work.

Any ideas on what may be causing this and a possible fix?

SuperSonus

It only took 18 years but my “SuperSonus” is complete. I bought my FP10 in 2008, acquired Firepod #1 on Craigslist in 2016, and just got Firepod #2 on Ebay. I’m running them with a 2013 Macbook Pro through which they are basically plug-n-play. The ultimate, mediocre, daisy chained interface with maxed out inputs.

Wireless router setup suggestions for Presonus 16R in rackmount setup?

Building an IEM rig with a Presonus 16R mixer. Trying to find the best wireless router to use in our setup, and ideally one that we can rackmount for easy transport and setup. Any suggestions? What has worked you all?
