Found this coin on the floor!

Found this coin on the floor!

Edinburgh Castle The Royal Scots coin. I found this on the floor in the National Railway Museum in York just over a month ago. To whoever dropped it: sorry about that, and if I saw you drop it, I would have notified you! But when I saw it on the floor, you must have been long gone. It was by the middle machine close to the gift shop.

How many do you usually get?

Hi all. Just wanted to ask this question out of curiosity. Ive been collecting for about 4 years now, but due to me not travelling allot, I have only 29 coins. I make sure to pick them up wherever I go. Im just wondering how many do you usually get from the machines, since typically they have 4 different designs? I always make sure to get 2 from each machine, so for example recently I went to the National Railway Museum in York, which had 3 machines, so in total I got 6 designs. I do this so that I'm not filling up pages in my collector book with just one place, you know? I also dont want to be spending loads of money on each machine. Thanks all.

I just started this year. Almost filled up 2 books. Been fortunate enough to travel this year quite a bit. Wonder how big every ones collections are?! How long you've been pressing? Share photos of your books, favorite prints, machines, or adventure stories?! Loved to read thru them and see the cool designs. I find that they always lead you too an awesome place. Please share anything.

My tiny collection so far

So far the only one I did not get in person was the Duffy one, traded a spongebob penny for it :D

My boyfriend got me the Star wars ones the night before my birthday, and the rest I got over time

Cleveland Zoo

Took my son to the cleveland zoo yesterday and all 3 machines we located were broken :(

One was even set up for card swipes and to provide a penny per swipe. Just annoying as my son and I seek these out. Wondering if the discontinuation of the penny had led to decline in service on these machines or just bad luck

Can I use a Canadian penny on a US machine?

I'm going on a day trip tomorrow and will be stopping at a couple of spots with machines. I had the idea it would be cool to get one or two using a Canadian coin. Has anyone tried before?

Bigfoot Pressed Coin 🦶

A fun little souvenir I picked up in Alaska, which I totally forgot about until last night. Every trip needs a little (Bigfoot) mystery! 😄

How much is this worth?

World trade centre coin that looks like a penny that went through a press of some sort? I’m assuming pre 2001, but I really don’t know anything about this.

Slovenia Pressed Euro Coins

I have taken pressed pennies up as a hobby the past year, and I am on vacation in Slovenia right now. Prior to coming, I went through the PennyCollector.com page for Slovenia and was aware of where the listed stops were. HOWEVER, I have come across two pressed euro machines TODAY on my trip which were not listed on PennyCollector. They were located in the Logar Valley and the Cable Car for Velika Planina. I’m guessing these areas are just less traveled to and therefore haven’t been as thoroughly documented on that website?

Does anyone know of any other Slovenian locations not listed on PennyCollector.com??

Denver Pennies

Went to Denver over the weekend and got some new pennies!

The Buccee's outside of Denver had a broken penny machine. Devastating.

Does anybody know where this came from?

I was organizing my coin collection and found this pressed penny, but I have no idea where it came from. It reads "support the right to arm bears". Does anybody have any insight? Thank you in advance!

My Pressed Penny Collection!

I’ve been working on this collection since 2004! I know it’s not the biggest collection, but I’ve always had so much fun collecting them over the years. I just found this sub and wanted to share my little collection with you all!

Would love to see yours!🤎🪙
