My cousins city in NZ has had this for years, I know other towns and cities have adopted it as well.
Hey all, just wondering what places offer a casual Commander Night. I've played at 3 Goblins three times now, Tuesdays at 6pm, and it's been a blast. I'm hoping there's other locations that have it at different times and days, I think Great White and Game Quest might have some.
Thanks!
As part of National Blood Donor Week, we're trying to demonstrate that Northern BC has the community support needed for a future Canadian Blood Services donor centre.
Over the past two years, more than 4,250 people have signed our petition and 33 organizations have formally endorsed bringing blood donation back to the region.
Our next step is asking businesses, non-profits, local governments, unions, service clubs, and other community groups to indicate whether they'd be willing to encourage blood and plasma donation among their staff and members if a donor centre were established here.
This isn't a financial commitment. We're simply trying to demonstrate that Northern BC has a strong, stable donor base ready to support a future centre.
If your organization would be interested in being counted, you can learn more here: www.ourbloodcounts.com/partners

It’s been a minute!
Happy Friday, PG! The weekend is officially within arm's reach, and the floor is ours to talk about whatever.
What lived rent-free in your head while driving this week?
Got a local opinion or a hidden gem recommendation you're ready to defend?
Heading out past Tabor, checking out a local trail, or just hiding indoors away from the bugs?
Ask the random stuff you can’t find a dedicated thread for.
Hi everyone. I spend a lot of my weekends going to local garage sales, and I usually end up building a map for myself just to figure out the best route and save on gas.
I realized this might actually be helpful for other people too, so I put a site together at fraserfinds.ca where you can see the local sales all laid out.
It's totally free, no signup, although, you do need to login to google for the google form to work if you'd like to add your own garage sale. (requirement for uploading photos). I'm just hoping to make it easier for people to navigate, and to help folks hosting get a bit more foot traffic. Take a look if you're heading out this weekend, or feel free to add your own sale if you're hosting one.
Hello Prince George,
I'm Ian Gregg using the CFURadio 88.7FM reddit account. We're the community-campus radio station at UNBC.
I'm looking to make a short news clip, about the re-emergence of tent caterpillars in the area. I saw a few infested trees last year, more this year, and am hearing about people dealing with infestations around town now.
Is anyone dealing with, or experiencing, a caterpillar boom in some way where you are in town right now? Where in town are you if so?
Thanks for entertaining the question.
Hello everyone!
I’m a 23 yo new graduate moving to Prince George for my new job. Currently I’m looking to join a gym membership in the city. Does anyone have any recommendations?
Thanks!
I’m looking at purchasing a house near Hammond Park and wondering how disruptive is the train? I can find any pedestrian crossings nearby that would indicate heavy horn usage. I also assume that since that are is near the train yard, the trains themselves wouldn’t be travelling super fast. Any input is welcome. Thanks!
Searching for third party providers. Currently have teksavvy which I'm not a fan of, anyone here have oxio or carry telecom and what they're like? Tried going to freedom but I need a phone plan with them to get internet so they're out of the question. Im not interested in paying $100 for telus or shaw or starlink which is why im wanting third party. Just looking for insight and if they're as bad as teksavvy or not
I've always stayed at Carmel when I come up here for work. Today I found out the restaurant is closed, feeling quite bummed out about it. I've always liked the food there.
Hello!
I’m a BC girl born and raised - moving to Prince George and looking for a roommate/someone to share a place with.
I’m mid 30s, have a very secure/stable job, love animals even though I don’t currently have any. No substance abuse issues, partying or other major concerns. I also keep my home/space neat, tidy and clean. Looking for another like minded person who’s looking to share a space for the long term.
I’ve looked through FB groups, marketplace and Kijiji but there is not currently a lot of options.
Let me know if you’re interested or have something!
The CJFL and BC Conference (BCFC) are proud to announce their 2026 regular season schedule that will see the seven-member Conference open play on Saturday July 18th with a full slate of games.
The two-time defending Cullen Cup champion Okanagan Sun will open their title defence on the road when they visit the VI Raiders at 4:00pm, the same team they defeated in a Conference semi-final last year. The Westshore Rebels kick off the season at the same time when they entertain the visiting Valley Huskers before the Kamloops Broncos host the Langley Rams in a 6:00pm nightcap.
The teams will play a 10-game regular season schedule concluding on October 3rd. The Conference playoffs will open the following weekend with a pair of semi-finals after the teams enjoy a Thanksgiving bye week. The Conference Cullen Cup championship game is scheduled for Saturday October 24th.
The Conference has earmarked Week 8, September 5th as "Rivalry Week." The six competing teams will meet their closest geographical rival. The schedule will feature the Island Rivalry when the Rebels host the Raiders, the Interior Showdown as the Sun visit the Broncos and the Lower Mainland main event when the Rams entertain the Huskers.
As an extra bonus this season, the winner of the Cullen Cup will host the CJFL Canadian Bowl game on Sunday November 8, 2026, against the winner of the National Semi-Final game between the champions of the Prairie Conference and the winner of the Teddy Morris Ontario Conference title. The Canadian Bowl was last hosted in the BC Conference in 2023 when the Westshore Rebels welcomed the Saskatoon Hilltops.
