2nd shot trouble [Profitec Go]

Since two weeks I have a problem with my Profitec GO & DF64:
I let the machine fully heat up. First shot runs perfectly fine! 18g in, 36 out in 25 seconds with around 9 bar of pressure.
EVERY shot I pull after the first one runs WAY too fast. 38g in 18 seconds and pressure won’t build up more than 8bar.
I prep both shots exactly the same way, dry the portafilter & puck screen and temperature on PID is exactly the same as during the first shot.
With the blind basket the machine has no struggle to build up to 9.5bars every time.
The same pattern occurs even if I try 18.5g in on the second pull.
Any idea what the Problem could be?

Move 2.0: how long would you wait after launch to purchase?

I’m always reluctant to purchase a recently introduced new model of anything.

What has ECM/Profitec’s history of working out new model/manufacturing kinks when introducing a new model?

How long would you wait after launch to purchase? Or would you purchase as soon as available?

Pro 500 PID (Flow Control) vs Move

Currently getting my first set up, and really stuck between the Pro 500 PID w/ Flow Control or the Move.

For background, I have ordered a DF64 V2 grinder and will be using that with whatever machine I purchase. And will be pulling 2-4 drinks of espresso daily (occasionally hosting maybe 6 or people on weekends), and steaming milk for Cortados and Cappuccinos 95% of the time. Additionally I can get both machines for the essentially the same price.

I’m torn between the beauty and more craft/analog feel of the Pro 500/E61 machines, and the seemingly better temp stability in the dual boiler Move. Heat up time isnt an issue for me, as I already have some smart plugs that I can use to get it warming up and ready for me in the mornings.

Let me know if you got thoughts or opinions!

Wiedemann brew lever too heavy for Profitec RIDE?

I ordered the RIDE back in June but with regular black plastic knobs because the Wiedemann knob version was out of stock from u/wholelattelove , so I ordered the knobs separately when they came back in stock and received them yesterday (they’re beautiful!) but now I’m seeing the brew lever just flop down, it is much heavier than the black plastic knob.

So I ended up ordering the shorter brew lever axis joint (link below) because the stock one is too long and hoping this will help. Has anyone ran into this when getting the Wiedemann elegant knob set?

Profitec Go (1.0) - Brand new out of the box no water moving through group head

Just unboxed my Profitec Go 1.0 purchased from Whole Latte Love. Everything looked great and followed the instructions for first startup (run pump for at least 30 seconds and let boiler come up to temp). I go to pull my first shot and nothing comes out. I figure I ground too fine and choked up the machine. No problem, coarsen up my grind and go again, same thing.

After three attempts, I finally decide to run the pump with no portafilter in and see if water will flow freely. Some water is coming out but not much at all and it takes at least 15 seconds for a few drops to appear. I do some googling and check to see if the tank is fully seated, that seems to be ok. I try to run the pump with the steam wand open, that doesn’t change anything. I take off the shower screen and run it again, still very little water coming out of the small hole.

Is this an issue anyone has experienced before? Do I need to send this unit back to WLL? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. It’s getting late here in the states and I’m giving up for the night.

UPDATE: Solved! Did a reset and tried refilling the boiler for a little longer and got water to pump without issue. Thanks to everyone for the help!

Profitec Go (2.0) - What size milk pitcher is recommended (300ml or 500ml)

I have my GO 2.0 coming in this week and want to get a milk pitcher. I usually make one cappuccino, sometimes two at a time, hence my question about which size to get.

Is the steam wand powerful enough to steam milk for two cappuccinos at once? I’d get the 500 ml pitcher since I doubt the 300 ml would be enough for two cappuccinos. Or would I be better off getting the smaller 300 ml pitcher and steaming twice?

I’d especially appreciate feedback from anyone who has the GO or GO 2, as I’d love to hear how you handle steaming milk for one vs. two cappuccinos.

I am not asking for buying advice for specific brands/models. THX :)
