Need help identifying the band from years ago based off the album artwork

Years back I listened to this awesome band but I cannot, after searching for it for years, find the name of them. The album was a desert wasteland of sorts, typical orange, clay like, apocolyptic even, maybe there were some buildings in the background? Not Myrath. If i remember correctly, the the first track was rather long and opened with a fade in of instrumentals. I really don't have much to go on, other than it being in english though not necessarily an american/english band. It wasn't super heavy and the vocals were clean if I remember correctly. Anyone got an ideas?

All of the songs by Haunted Shores before Viscera (2018)

I had to do a ton of digging, but I ended up finding all their songs. It's organized by albums in a Google Drive folder. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1eiwQ-8pg410pK5h8LMkS0DiNjUhbp7Au?usp=drive_link

Bonus, not lost, but a rare find: live video of them from 2007! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nRQxAFA2Mqc

These songs were lost when MySpace wiped out everything from the initial release to 2015, but I found the songs using archives and videos.

Started as a full-fledged metalcore band led by Mark Holcomb. When Holcomb joined Periphery with Misha "Bulb" Mansoor, Holcomb intended to end the project, but the project was revived as a progressive metal studio-only project between Holcomb and Mansoor.

Any news on the band members from Aviations?

I love Luminaira and was so sad that they broke up. Has anyone heard anything about new projects etc?

Your thoughts about AI generated music?

I am a long Opeth, Tool, Death, etc. fan, and recently I saw that AI music is pretty much everywhere and I was actually pretty repulsed by it.

But then my friend started a project and sent me some of the songs he created with lyrics that he actually wrote, and WOW! It actually sounds good and fits my taste exactly and I found myself playing them on repeat, which puts me in a little bit of a dilemma 🫠

What are your thoughts about it? Do you think it's the start of an era where we will see more and more AI music?

Here are the songs I liked for reference:

Face melting tracks

What's going on everybody? I thought I'd have a little fun with this one. I want everybody to submit one entry that is the most face melting track you can think of. I'm talking about a straight ripper. Doesn't necessarily have to be the best track, just one that rips the whole time. You know what I'm talking about?Let's get it going. I'm starting us off with -

Waterpark Bachelorette - Destrage

My friend just dropped a Tech/Prog Death Metal EP and it's an absolute beast. Check out Wild Ivy - Umbrae Memoriae 🤘

Hey everyone,

Just wanted to share something genuinely fresh and high-quality that deserves way more ears. My friend has just released his debut EP under the moniker Wild Ivy, titled Umbrae Memoriae.

If you’re into technical, progressive Death Metal that doesn't just focus on mindless shredding but actually builds a massive, suffocating atmosphere, you’re going to love this. It's packed with complex rhythms, great tonal transitions, and top-tier songwriting that keeps you hooked from start to finish. It’s got that perfect balance of technicality and dark, heavy emotion.

I convinced him to put the whole thing on Bandcamp so people can appreciate the full dynamic range of the mix without the heavy streaming compression.

Give it a spin and let him know what you think! Any feedback means the world to him right now.

Best bands similar to The Black Queen

I know The Black Queen aren't prog metal, but I enjoy them a lot and I feel like many of you probably have the same music taste I do.

I love the dark, ambient, moody electronic sound with hauntingly beautiful vocals that Greg eminates.

Best pieces to get someone into the genre!!

Hey, basically the title!! On a general metal sub, I made a post describing what I’m looking for in metal and -besides receiving some pretty recommendations- I was guided here as I was unknowingly referring to this kind of music. But I seemed not to know most of the recommendations i got and i want to make sure i can really have a good journey diving into this genre. The metal music I listened to as a kid/teen was visibly different from progressive so i dont want my first prog songs to be the harder to get ones. Thank you!!

Tip of My Tongue: One Hit Wonder?

I'm looking for a band that had a lot of hype from a popular music from one of their songs on youtube. It was probably around 2009 or so. The song had a very minimalist guitar + drum set up with very aggressive aggressive vocals with guitar work almost entirely tapped. The end solo really stands out because it gets oddly funky and there's a neat time change. I don't know that anything really came of them past this.

Between The Buried And Me - Condemned To The Gallows (Live Guitar Cover)

This group revolutionized my vision of music at the time, with the album Alaska. Now it's one of my favorite band so I wanted to do a cover of one of their songs.
