I don’t collect much figures as I like space in my room but I had to pick this up. My first and only figure of Lara Croft.

Great quality for a good price, there were other more expensive ones right next to this one and In my opinion, this was the better looking one

Perfect next to my ps1 collection, I might make a post on the ps1 collection. I have the propers discs and manuals and got the new clean jewel cases for them.

How could Sony literally create the perfect controller with their first try on a dualstick and then ignore their creation for the next decades

Are there any PS1 Racing games you feel are still worth playing despite many newer titles coming out?

There are games that when you look at them in a vacuum (The PS1) retain a good standing or even remain of Legendary Status.

If you were to look outside of the PS1 ecosystem then come back to it, what PS1 Racing Games do you still feel hold their own in some way despite the technological disadvantage?

My Ps2 won’t play The Grinch Ps1 game disc, even though it reads it

I ordered the Grinch for Ps1 online and when I put the disc in my PS2 it reads it and then goes to a black screen then returns to menu. As far as I know, Ps2 console are supposed to be able to play Ps1 games, I really wanted to play this game and check it out. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Power Shovel with a Flight Stick on Android

Power Shovel is an Arcade/PS1 game where you shovel dirt as fast as you can. It's stupidly fun and addicting.

Tapochka 3D: From anime drawings to PS1 polygons

Tapochka 3D is a PS1 homebrew game developed by nradiowave where you play as an anime-style catgirl trying to escape from a mysterious castle.

From what has been shown so far, the game includes:

  • Exploring different areas of the castle
  • Solving simple environmental puzzles
  • Rescuing fairies trapped inside cages
  • Collecting keys to unlock new paths

At the moment, there isn't much information available about the project. Most of what we know comes from updates shared in 2025, and there haven't been many recent development posts. Hopefully, the project is still active, because it certainly looks like a charming addition to the PS1 homebrew scene.

If you'd like to learn more, we've gathered everything currently known about the project in our article:

Super Station one vs fully modded PS1

Hello, im trying to get the best possible video and sound output to play ps1 on a 4k TV, i already own a Retrothink 4k but i’ve seen ppl mention the best is to have an HDMI signal into the upscaler, what will look, sound and play best, a 1000$ modded ps1 or the Super Station?

Do you prefer to collect the original releases (black label) over the greatest hits releases? Or do you collect both?

When it comes to collecting PS1 games, do you mostly collect the original releases (black label) or, do you also buy the greatest hits versions? It doesn't really matter to me, I buy whichever version I can find. If I can find the black label release I will go for that usually, but otherwise it doesn't really matter which version I get.

Does anyone here collect both the original and GH versions? I don't know if it's true, but I heard some GH releases included fixes/updates. If so, for some games the GH version may be the better option.

Bonus room song from "Skullmonkeys" on the PS1

Hilarious self aware 4th wall break style song from the game "Skullmonkeys" on the PS1.

I'm 25. I inherited my PS1 from my cousin Jeff who died in a car accident before I was born. One of the games he left for me was Skullmonkeys. First played it years and years ago when I was maybe 9 or 12 or something. Lost the PS1 years ago and bought another one. But I still have his original memory card for it, and I left most of his save files cause I think it's cool to have his specific files on there.

But that's enough about my life. This song is comedy gold.

History of Final Fantasy IX

Final Fantasy IX has one of the most interesting development stories in the series. This documentary covers its origins, the return to medieval fantasy after FF8, the creation of Vivi, Zidane, and the rest of the cast, the Hawaiian development team, cut content, localisation, music, marketing, release, and its lasting legacy. Hopefully there's something in here even long-time FF9 fans haven't come across before.
