So I just bought some more supplies for my lab, got a work surface raiser, a stir plate, some agar plates with malt extract, and some LC jars. As well as some parafilm

Wait too long?
I had 3 jars of lightwave that I havent gotten around to. I innoculated 3/22 so its been almost 2 months. When I opened the top 2 of them have a slightly grey color on top. Should I bury them or is it worth trying to take the top layer off and s2b the rest of them? Did I wait too long or is it just contam because of contam? Thanks

2nd flush Jack Dick

Lab upgrade completed!
Just got done assembling my clean air flow hood! Going to be getting some plates and agar with my next paycheck as well as more Mason jars and a magnetic stirplate and bar. Do you guys have any good suggestions on agar and plates.
Any tips for working in a flow hood?
Have my blocks soaking in water for the third flush 😄 I'm excited to use my new lab setup.
