Nectar of the gods.

I did some reading on extraction for a tincture. Whats yalls favorite method. Also in the paper I read that they even soaked the whole block on its own and got a great tincture. I know you want to keep it a liquid because it keeps the potency and shelf life. Double extract I was thinking. What about freezing it first in water to break open the cells. Then going to a hot alcohol double boiler. Combine and reduce.

What could the flakey off white like pieces on the surface of the brownish caps be?

Also the white veil and it looking like it's fragile and sort of breaking as soon as the cap tries to flare?

Also, the surface pins and clusters, too dry? I mist 2-3x/fan as well, plus a small humidifier and USB charged desk fan.

my mycelium UB bags turned blue after B&S

i’m never listening to reddit users again. i did a B&S for 6 bags and they all ended up turning blue couple hours after. i posted the pictures on here and people were saying its mold so i threw away 4 and turns out i just did another B&S at 6pm and it started bruising at 1046pm. chatgpt is telling me this, so unless somebody has a real scientific explanation im all for it but i doubt my 6 bags have basically gotten contam, i keep a clean crib and sterile environment sooo…

Do i need to cut the bag??

Got both of these at the same time. Said to pull bag apart for fae but it feels like it sealed. One bag looks left behind. Should I cut a slit? I tried a few times to get air in the bag trying to pull the sides out and what not.

Bags are bagging

Casper on the left and black ape 1 on right. Inoculated about 1.5 weeks ago now. Crazy to see the difference in growth even among the same strain. Odds are I sent majority of the liquid culture into one of the bags before doing the other 🤦🏻‍♂️ but hey I was excited get off my ass

Probably going into a shoebox tub with the adapters once we get there but not rushing it
