Pre PTCE

I take my exam on 8/24 and just took the Pre PTCE tonight. I got 9 answers wrong out of the 90. From anyones experience does that seem like I’ll probably pass the actual exam? Any advice is appreciated, I’m so stressed. Thank you!!

Test Results

I recently took my exam & to my surprise got a 1600. It was something I was SO nervous for. I used the PTCE Practice Bank to study, and also utilized the Pre-PTCE a few days before my official test date. I feel like test taking strategy was also a huge factor for me. I didn’t sit and stress over the questions I didn’t know. It’s usually pretty easy to narrow the options down to 2 that make the most sense and from there you just have to hope.

PTCB Exam

I’m trying to pass my pharmacy tech test. I failed with a 1334 on July 14th. I’m taking it again on September 2nd. I use Pocket Prep as well as the actual PTCB website that has a PTCE practice bank. Will this be enough for me to pass the PTCB exam a second time?

Test Results

I need someone’s opinion on this. How bad does this look? This was the first time I took it, and I’m taking it again on September 2nd. Is that plenty of time to improve and pass the exam on my second try?

Passes NHA AND PTCB

I mistakenly scheduled both exams a week apart in case I failed one, so I have a backup. The NHA wasn’t that difficult. If you work in retail, you’ll be fine. The PTCB wasn’t too challenging either. There were a few brand and generic questions, a few questions about the interaction between pregnant women and medications, and a lot of calculations. Good luck to everyone taking it in the future.

Pharmacy Tech License

Does anyone know how long it takes to get their license in after submitting the PTCB results and all the documents to the board of pharmacy ? I’m hoping it doesn’t take more than 3 weeks because my trainee license expired and I can’t work in the pharmacy until I get my official license in, ims struggling because I really need the money😭I live in Arizona for reference and I submitted the application on Friday 07/31

PTCB Hero: 2026 Exam Relevancy

Hi everyone! I recently bought and received the PTCB Hero book to help me study for the exam, but I’m not so sure if it will be helpful for the new exam. The Amazon link says it’s “FULLY UP-TO-DATE FOR THE NEW 2026 CURRICULUM” and “PTCB Hero has been specifically built from the ground up to address the new PTCB curriculum and is fully aligned with the January 2026 PTCE content outline, with added focus on patient safety, federal compliance, and real-world pharmacy scenarios”, but the book only mentions the new exam updates from 2020. Is there an updated version and Amazon just sent me the old one? Or is this book still good enough to use to pass the 2026 exam? Thank you for the advice!
