I want to learn more about Data Matrix Code and QR Code.

Hi, I am new here I am learning something new and experimenting with it. I asked myself why not possibly combine it like in my picture (I am learning how to make my custom reader using a camera too). Could someone reply to me what is maybe wrong with my custom 2D matrix barcode, what advantages it has and disadvantages, etc. I am awaiting your replies.

It can hold 4 data bytes with 4 error corrections bytes and its size is 12x12.

Red - finder pattern (black color)

Light / Dark Green - payload (data)

Yellow and Orange - error corrections (Reed-Solomon)

Pink - modes (4)

and Light Blue - quiet zone (white color, it help with finding orientation with finder pattern too)

Simplifying a QR Code V-Card / MeCard

I have a client that wants a QR code on every employee’s business card that will bring up their contact information.

However, they don’t want it to depend on having internet service. They work in a field that is often outside of available cell service and want to make sure that their clients can add their contact information from their cards immediately.

I know about making a simple plain text QR that purely has that info. However, because there is lots of information per contact, the codes are so dense. I’m hoping to find a way to simplify the QR code while still holding all the information they want without using a link that requires internet/cell service.

Thoughts? Do any of you have ideas that I can play around with?

The info they want is Name, Title, Company, Mobile, Email, and Website.
