hitting the ball into the floor on hard drives

When I'm just rallying I keep the ball low just fine but as soon as i try to put some mustard on it I drive the ball straight into the floor. Sometimes it hits before the serve line sometimes it hits the front wall first but then bounces twice before my opponent can get it. Either way it's a bad shot. Guys tell me to make contact when the ball is lower and to stay down through the shot but when I'm swinging hard i tend to pull up. Also heard that keeping your eye on the ball longer helps but i always peek to see where I'm hitting it.

Gift ideas for racquetball player?

My husband's birthday is coming up. He's a long-time racquetball player and I'm trying to figure out some good gift options for him. Any ideas for racquetball-related gifts?

add power without spraying the ball everywhere

I feel like my shots are too soft. I can keep rallies going fine but I never put anyone away. When I try to add more power I just end up hitting the ball into the floor or off the back wall too hard. My bro says I'm arming the ball instead of using my legs and core but when I focus on that my timing gets all messed up. I also heard that you're not supposed to use your wrist muscles but keep it loose and let the kinetic chain do the work. Some people say to lead with the elbow and snap at the end like a whip, others say to grip tight at the bottom and loose at the top. what worked for you? , thanks

how do you stop skipping the ball when you go for too much

I've been playing for a little while and my biggest problem is I try to end rallies too early. see an opening and just swing as hard as i can, ball ends up in the floor like half the time. My friend calls me the hare from that old tortoise and hare thing .I feel like i need to just keep the rally going and wait for a real setup instead of forcing everything. Anyone have a drill or a mental trick that helped them be more patient, also how do you know when it's actually time to go for a winner instead of just playing safe. Can anyone help me identify this racquet?

I bought this racquet at a yard sale. They said it was a tennis racquet but I’m pretty sure it’s a racquetball racquet. However I can’t find any information or pictures or anything of this exact racquet online to find any details on it. Anyone know exactly what racquet this is and where to find information on it? I don’t know how old it is but it’s hardly been used, it’s in great condition.

Don't ever turn your back to the front wall

I learned this one the hard way in a tournament years ago. Hit a ceiling ball that was floating down the center. Instead of watching the ball and staying square, I turned my back to chase it to the back wall. Opponent just waited, let me run past him and passed it right back to the front wall. I was still running the wrong direction never felt more embarrassed. Coach told me after to always keep my body facing the front wall as much as possible. You can run backwards or shuffle sideways. just don't turn around and give up the whole court. I still think about that point sometimes and cringe.
