Does a RAM TRX rub with 37” tires??
Does a TRX on 37s rub?? Yes, yes it does rub at full turn. We are going to be adjusting some of the plastic fender liner and possibly even some trimming if needed.

Bought a ’23 TRX with 7k miles — Compustar removed, now RF Hub isn’t responding & truck won’t stay running. Dealer can’t figure it out. Any ideas?
Picked up a 2023 TRX with 7k miles on August 1st. Truck is immaculate, basically looks brand new. I test drove it July 29th for about 10 miles and everything seemed perfectly fine.
Then literally the next morning, the problems started.
The truck already had an aftermarket Compustar security system installed when I bought it. I went outside, hit disarm on the fob and opened the truck, but the alarm started going crazy. I kept hitting disarm and eventually got it to stop.
Truck cranked normally, but when I put it in Drive, it told me to “Shift to Park” then “Shift to Desired Gear.” Put it back in Park, tried Drive again, same thing. Truck wouldn’t move.
Turned it off, went inside and grabbed my other key. Started it with that key, put it in Drive and it drove perfectly.
I figured maybe the key fob batteries were weak, so I replaced both batteries.
Truck drove perfectly the rest of the day.
Next morning, same exact problem.
At that point I’m thinking the Compustar isn’t properly disarming or is somehow interfering with the factory immobilizer/electronics.
Then I started getting random warnings:
Service Active Damping System
AEB/Forward Collision warning
Lane Assist warning
I took it back to the CDJR dealership on August 5th.
They scanned it and initially told me they believed the aftermarket security system was causing the issues. Their tech apparently couldn’t remove the Compustar themselves, so they had to bring in an outside company to remove it.
That took a WEEK.
Dealer had my truck from August 5th to August 12th.
They finally call on the 12th and say the truck is ready. I get there close to closing time and the service advisor goes to pull it around…
Now the truck won’t stay running.
It cranks, starts and then immediately shuts back off.
Battery tested good.
Here’s what really bothers me: It wasn’t doing this when I dropped it off.
Service manager sees I literally just bought the truck and gives me a loaner and says they’re going to make it right. Truck still has factory warranty plus the dealer warranty.
Now my service advisor tells me the RF Hub isn’t responding, their technician can’t locate the fault, and they need to bring the SAME outside company back that removed the Compustar to see if there’s something residual from the alarm system causing it.
This was August 12th.
Today is August 17th. They still have my truck and still don’t have an actual diagnosis. Now I’m being told someone from that outside company is coming Thursday.
Am I wrong for thinking this sounds crazy?
This is a CDJR dealership working on a Ram TRX. How are they unable to determine why the RF Hub isn’t responding or why the truck starts and immediately shuts off?
And if the Compustar was removed, shouldn’t whoever removed it have verified that every interrupt circuit, connection, module, etc. was properly removed and the truck was restored to the factory configuration?
At this point I’m wondering if there’s a bigger electrical/CAN bus/RF Hub issue going on and the Compustar is just getting blamed because it’s the easiest explanation.
The timeline is what really has me concerned:
Aug 1: Bought truck
Aug 2: First no-drive/shift issue
Aug 3: Same issue happens again
Aug 5: Dropped it back at dealership
Aug 12: Compustar removed / told truck was ready
Aug 12: Arrive to pick it up and now it starts then immediately shuts off
Aug 17: Dealer still has it, RF Hub reportedly isn’t responding, no diagnosis
I’ve basically owned the truck for 16 days and the dealership has had it for 12 of them.
Anybody here familiar with the TRX/Ram electrical systems or dealt with a Compustar removal causing an RF Hub/no-start/immobilizer issue?
I’m mainly trying to figure out whether this sounds like something that could legitimately be leftover from the aftermarket security system, an RF Hub/programming issue, or if I need to start pushing the dealership harder because there’s something bigger going on.
Came across this 2023 Ram 1500 TRX while doing more research after my last post. It looks incredible in person, but I’m still trying not to let the sound and styling make the decision for me.
For those who have owned one for a while: what started bothering you only after the first few months?
I’m especially curious about daily-driving annoyances, recurring issues, interior usability, things that wear badly, and modifications you ended up needing rather than simply wanting.
I’m still researching before making any decision. If you were buying again, what would you inspect or budget for from day one?
Been looking for a used trx for a bit and finally looked at 2 of them one is a 2021 fully loaded with 9k miles and the other is a 2024 fully loaded with 33k miles. What would you guys get. Both are in the same condition. And bith are basically the same price. I plan on keeping this truck till it rots into the ground.
Anyone here have a stage 2 tuned trx I test drove one and fell in love with it was wondering how much that would cost or if you need to add mods to make it stage 2 or its like the diesel trucks where you just mess with the ECU
Pablo Salapantan of Autoblog reports on a YouTube video by the Fast Lane Truck that compares the power of the old Ram 1500 SRT TRX to the new one.
Im buying a 21' TRX with 45,000 miles. What maintenance if any should I have done?
