Hi, we are coming to Ratnagiri next week with our 3 year old kid.

We ll be staying in Ganpatipule and would like recommendation on following.

1. Good food places for authentic konkani food.

2. Car rental services, i read about Shrinath bikes but we will need a car as it's monsoon.

3. Our kuldevta is vyadeshwar, will it be possible to do a half day trip to guhagar in this weather (google says 2 hours drive) we are ready to leave early morning.

4. Where to enjoy full moon day, on rakhi.

Need some crowd wisdom.
My parents and younger brother are coming to Pune for the first time. My mom has one non-negotiable demand: "I want to see the sea." 😄
Problem: I can't take leave from work.
Current plan:
Sunday night train → Ratnagiri → hotel for 2-3 days → parents explore beaches and nearby places while I work.

Questions for people who've travelled around Konkan:
Ratnagiri vs Ganpatipule vs somewhere else?
Can tourists easily get scooty/bike rentals there?
Are local cabs easily available?
Which places are worth visiting?
Any hidden gems I should add?

And separately, does anyone have a reliable car + driver contact for Pune sightseeing (Lonavala/Mulshi/Tamhini side)?
Trying to give my parents a memorable trip without turning it into a logistical disaster. 😅

I’m planning a 2N/3D trip to Ratnagiri + Ganpatipule with my parents and need to finalise and book our stay today, so looking for recommendations ASAP.

I’m specifically looking for:

• Beachside or very close to the beach — ideally with a nice view/access
• Clean, comfortable and family-friendly
• Good food on-site or good restaurants/eateries nearby
• Convenient location for exploring Ganpatipule and Ratnagiri
• Preferably somewhere peaceful rather than a very crowded tourist area
• Mid-range budget, but happy to consider slightly more if it's genuinely worth it

Would really appreciate recommendations based on personal experience, especially places where the food is actually good and the location is convenient.

If you had to pick one beachside stay in Ratnagiri/Ganpatipule, which one would you choose?
