Single talet Juliet

I saw a single talent run here and decided to give it a try, one of the most satisfying runs I've ever had, so fun! Chainmail + Swan Cloak + Mermaid Tears combo made me invincible at the end.

Since we don't have to spend resources on talents it's pretty easy to get good items.

Random game balance

I think that for the first time I had a higher balance in wins than losses streaming on the weekend.

I've spent the last few days playing with randoms. Aside from the connection, the biggest problem I've seen is personal arriving in the nightmare and still dying in healing sources.

I've gotten used to playing without it and prioritizing objectives to earn magic objects, money, and rerol. In addition to the Quest and songs of thieves.

But I wonder a lot why many players visualize a heal and run to it, ignoring the group and what is really a priority in time.

Another problem that I saw a lot is the giving up after finishing the sentences in green camps. People simply don't wait to be rescued, spend feathers and when they run out they leave.

On the other hand, I've found some groups that try hard to revive a fallen one, even if the match is not as we expect, this type of action makes us stay together until the end.

Anyway, it's really fun to play with randoms. When you see Lionheart in the lobby under "?" you can be sure it's me on the ps5 waiting for a random chat or, to copy someone who is going to play, hahaha!

Great game!

Tips for Nightmare?

Hey everyone,

I just finished beating Darkness with every hero and decided to start nightmare. It feels like a huge step up in difficulty and I was hoping to get some tips.

Is the game worth the lost time?

My friend and I played for a little over 10 Hours and only reached 3 locations 2-3 times. The pleasure is questionable and we could have spent this time in another game with great pleasure, but the opportunity to have fun later gave me strength.

Is the game worth your time and how many hours do you need to spend to learn how to play it? Oh yes, since we live in Russia, we often have crashes, and sometimes the game does not allow us to connect to each other.

Some of these melodies gotta have their spawn rates adjusted

I just got Long John Silvers (the one that reveals all ravens) at the very end of Act 3 in a 5 negative modifier run and it killed the run because it took so long to clear the stupid camp instead of doing anything else to get stronger. Literally the only melody that did absolutely nothing for me in that moment. This one in particular happens so often that our friends joke about it everytime we play but on top of ruining a run I've spent all day working on I felt like I need to say something.

Also I am a solid believer that Fairy Godmothers would be fine being allowed in Act 1 and 2. Sometimes you just have a crap map and I think that free level could save you occasionally. There are other melodies but I'm too pissed to think straight. What r y'alls thoughts?

unblockable attacks from bosses should be a more obvious color change than red to orange

recently i saw a meme post by EddyManic and i couldn’t have agreed more with it. while yes, it is a meme, the point still stands.
some talents should be worded different and specify if whether or not they can stop heavy attacks instead of “block ALL incoming damage” it’s misleading. i remember the first time playing solo on darkness difficulty and getting so far on my last feather only to be killed by an attack i previously thought i could block/dodge. imo it’s bad game design when something kills the player that i wasn’t even aware of. obviously i learned this the hard way but i still think there should be a specification.
on the bottom pictures is just an example from warhammer 40k space marines 2. light attacks are indicated with a blue flash while unblockable/heavy attacks are given a red indicator. which to me is a lot better than just going from red to orange, which are two similar colors. usually when playing games with a similar mechanic i see the opposite with red being used to represent stronger attacks instead.
i think purple would be a more obvious choice. i’ve seen games use color to represent difficulty. green is easy, yellow is normal/medium, and red is hard. sometimes i’ve seen “nightmare” or “hardcore” being represented with purple. i also think it would fit because in ravenswatch, purple is used to represent the vulnerable and weakened status.

thoughts?

LOOKING FOR PLAYERS

Hi everyone! I'm looking players to play with, matchmaking is hell, I went on discord channel too but people there aren't actually playing I mean I went there for 2 months and when texted about playing no one answered and max voice channel that I've seen there were 2. I like the game, playing it not often but coming back soon soon, if you are up to playing, write comment or give direct message, see ya.

Multiplayer Greyed Out - No multiplayer code generated

My friends and I have only recently started playing this game. Everything has been fine until today. Two of us logged on to play together but the "+" icons on character selection are greyed out and won't do anything. We can't add or invite each other to either game. No multiplayer code is being generated. The friends/recent lists are blank.

I've looked around on some past posts and forums and I've seen some posts from 1-2 years ago saying it takes a few minutes for the codes to generate. We've been playing together off and on over the past two/three weeks and have never had to wait. As soon as we log on we can invite immediately.

I've tried resetting everything including hard resetting modem and router. Verified game file integrity through Steam. No pending updates are present.

I'm assuming this is just a game side server issue. Just in case though does anyone here have any other suggestions or know if there's a site I can check their server status? I haven't been able to find anything else. Any help is appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Rant

why the actual F*CK DO PEOPLE JUST LEAVE, like as soon as a run starts to have a slight disadvantage people just leave or close the lobby, most of my best runs have had a low point, but as soon as someone goes down in the first boss fight or the level is 100% clear people just peace out! I swear if this is you you’re literally ruining the game. Also starting the tumor or boss fights without communicating or pinging, like I’m about to grab a chest I just ran across the map for and then I get teleported away, fucking people if you can’t play as a team play solo I stg.

How to get better at Merlin

Hi guys! I’ve only got into this game very recently but it’s charm has certainly left an impact on me. I’ve been playing it every week with my friends.
Since I had so much fun that playing it I thought I’d try Merlin, the only character on the roster that I haven’t touched.
This wizard is harddddd! Could someone give me some proper advice on how to play him? I’m looking for something beyond just mastering which button combinations to press. I’d like to know things about how to properly manage runes of potency, ideal builds, power vs special etc.
Any feedback is appreciated!

Unable to play online

Recently I completed all the single player content and realized I needed multi-player to get all the trophies, here is the thing it doesn't start just stays stuck at "starting" playing on nice internet and wired ps5.

Played Aladdin properly for the first time last night

I regret not playing him earlier, he's so fun. Just a couple of solo runs while I figure out mechanics, but the potential is good

I'm not gonna be topping damage leaderboards any time soon but I've never really cared about that anyway

Juliet runs always feel so good. Those shots make my arm hairs stand.

Sometimes the stars just align and it reminds me why I love this game so much.

Aladdin mechanics

Hi :)

I've played ravenswatch for a few months, I won nightmare, solo and with a friend, with juliet, Scarlett, piper, Beowulf and snow Queen.

I'm struggling finishing aladdin. Two issues :

  1. I'm a bit obsessed with infinite wish build. I would love to break the game like I saw on YT (Heredos). But damn, even with a great setup (coin at shop, master thief early) I almost never have level 5 before chap 1 boss. Is this build harder than the other ones ? What is the easiest build (not a 3000 damage build, just a consistent one) ?

I think I just need to go more with the flow. But...

  1. Even with other builds, power build and carpet ult for example, I clean sooo slowly. I usually do : Special - Power - Attack. But so often I have no enchantment, so my attacks are weak, and they force me to get close. Sometimes i'm forced to wait for my special to cool down.

What do I do wrong ? At this point I don't think it's my map routing or my build choices (?), I think I do not click the right way.

Sun Wukong Special

Has anyone noticed that the cooldown Sun Wukong's special does not start recharging until after the current special ends? Kind of annoying since the cooldown is relatively long, so even with a bunch of cooldown reduction and extra charges, you still have downtime when special can't be used. Does anyone else feel differently?

Character concept - Dorothy

Hello guys!

I recently got back into the game because my friends started playing, and I got an idea for a character. So I spent yesterday drawing this fun side project. I tried to replicate the designs of Abilities and Talents as best as I could with my style.

For the design, I drew inspiration from both the book and classic live action versions of both Dorothy and Wicked Witch of the West.

Hope you enjoy the post!
