Does anyone else weirdly miss the absolute misery of Reading once it’s over?

Every year during the festival I reach a point where I’m exhausted, damp, slightly feral and questioning every life decision that led me to sleeping near strangers shouting at 4am. Then about two weeks later I’m already nostalgic for the entire experience. Why does Reading somehow become more enjoyable emotionally AFTER surviving it?

What artist unexpectedly won over the entire crowd when you saw them live?

I always love those festival sets where people only casually know the artist beforehand, then leave thinking they completely stole the weekend. Which act surprised you the most live?

Help urgently

I purchased weekend camping tickets on a payment plan and have recently received some news in which I can no longer attend this event.

Despite the full amount being paid, Ticketmaster will not enable me to sell or transfer these tickets and it is really causing me a lot of stress and anxiety. I really need these tickets gone and I need as much money back for them as I can.

I’m 17 and £325 of my own money is a lot to me, especially since I can no longer go (out of my control). Not selling them and letting that money just go to waste would honestly be really bad for me.

How can I sell these asap? I’m not looking for the full amount, just something.

What is the Reading set that you were there for live that you genuinely believe was one of the greatest festival performances you have ever seen and why does it still stand up?

The one you actually witnessed. The one where you were standing in that crowd and understood in real time that something special was happening. What was it and what made it feel different to everything around it.

What’s your favourite non-music memory from Reading Festival?

My favourite Reading Festival memory is honestly the reason I’m married now. Back in 2022 I randomly got chatting to a guy while wandering between sets because we were both completely lost trying to find our friends. We ended up spending basically the whole weekend together after that. It started as one of those festival conversations you assume will end once everyone goes home, but somehow it never did. Fast forward a bit and we got married in 2024, and today is actually our second wedding anniversary. I’m also currently expecting our first child, which still feels surreal to say out loud sometimes. Genuinely, the best thing that’s ever happened to me came from getting lost at Reading Festival. We still go every year now and I don’t think either of us could ever miss it after that. Is there a special memory stuck with you aswell?

Someone have the reading festival 2011 or 2012 as the full stream?

one other performance I’m looking for is the pitchfork festival in good quality (there’s a full thing of it on YouTube but it’s in shit quality)

Eco Green Camp/The Meadow

Hi everyone, excited for the festival this year! Was just wondering about how to go about booking the Eco Green Camp/the Meadow (is there a difference?)

Last year we just did general camping and it was a blast but this year my friends and I want to camp in the green area (we promise not to litter!) How do you reserve tickets? We already have our weekend (early entry) tickets but have no idea how to reserve spots in the camp. We've looked on ticket master and the website; should I download the app? Anyways, any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Also, is the eco area really so much better like everyone says?

Thoughts on taking a digital camera to Reading?

My phone camera is completely useless but I want as much to remember from it as I can, are digicams allowed and is it worth bringing one into camping? Not sure how great the quality would turn out but still.
