1hr no music. Surely they’ve got this wrong?

No acts on for 45 minutes and close to an hour on other stages. Plenty of clashes for me earlier on down the lineup though 😂😵‍💫

Friday Day (Reading to Brighton & Hove)

Hey! I’m travelling from Brighton for the day to see Charli XCX and others at Reading. Originally my friend was coming with me but she can’t now. The times are differing. The coaches from Reading Festival go to majority of cities but Brighton.

Is anyone travelling back from Reading to Brighton same night? Happy to chip in petrol or pair up on public transport. Not keen on the idea of travelling through central London on various undergrounds, trains, coaches on my own.

Please message if you are. Thank you!

A few people in group don't have campsite booked, will we get in together?

I'm part of a large group (9 people) going to the festival this year, 6 have booked kindred campsite and me and 2 other people haven't (i know, my own fault, i've been super busy booking all the other stuff like parking as im one of the drivers and it just slipped my mind)

Do you think they will let us in as we are all camping together or will 3 of us have to camp in general? This will make tent arrangements kinda difficult.

Handing off a weekend wristband on Sunday?

EDIT: Based on feedback I am going to attempt this and got a 3-day pass. If anyone is looking for a wristband just for Sunday and can meet up either Saturday night (Aug 29) in Reading or Sunday morning (Aug 30) in London, I'm happy to hand it off at a discount & also reimburse you if it doesn't end up working out for whatever reason! DM me to chat about it happy to verify identity/chat on insta :)

Hi all, currently living in London for the summer, and this is going to be my first Reading Festival! (I saw Charli xcx at Outside Lands in San Francisco earlier this month and the set was so amazing I decided I have to see her again since I won't be able to see her North American tour)

I was thinking about buying a non-camping weekend ticket, but since I want to go to a different festival in London on Sunday I wanted to coordinate handing off the weekend wristband to someone in London on Sunday morning and selling that portion at a cheaper portion than what Sunday day tickets are going for (and I have found techniques online for getting the wristband off without having to cut it or anything). This way I am paying less than what a standard Friday & Saturday ticket is going for and with a little coordination someone also gets to go to Sunday on a discount.

Maybe a silly question, but has anyone done this before and were you successful? Is there a reason that this wouldn't work (besides if I run into issues with getting the wristband off)? I'm just unsure if at this festival there's some reason that if I use it for the first two days then it wouldn't work for a new person on the third day.

Unrelated question, but can anyone comment on the experience of not staying in reading but taking the train in from London & then back out each day? I know it's obviously more logistics and probably less sleep, but ultimately would rather go back home where all my stuff is to tackle the next day of the festival/get to the Sunday festival. I would take any tips (like if booking a ticket for the late trains after the headliners in advance is necessary)!

Thank you xx

Packing suggestions

Hi everyone! I am going to Reading for the first time this year :)

I am flying with Ryanair, so as you know, I cannot take much in my backpack. I am starting to pack, but I am unsure about the weather.

Is it better to wear comfortable sneakers for the long walk or just take some sturdy boots and maybe add some insoles?

Do you have any other recommendations for what I should wear there?

Looking for short-shift work/volunteering at Reading Festival 2026

Hi! I'm 18 and based locally in Reading, looking for paid work or volunteering at Reading Festival.

I'm available from Wednesday 26 August from around 12pm onwards and have previous customer service experience.

I'm specifically looking for shorter shifts (ideally around 4–6 hours) so I can still enjoy the festival. I'm interested in merchandise, catering, front of house, event staff, brand ambassador or similar roles.

Paid work preferred, but I'm open to volunteering too. Please comment or DM me if you know of anything! 😊

I’m a 22 year old female who has just been let down and I am now solo camping and looking for others to go with. I have never solo camped before but I have been to reading in 2022. Is there any group chats to meet people on?

Urgent Ticket transfer query

Hi all, I don’t know if anyone else is experiencing similar issues. I still don’t have an option to transfer tickets, and the deadline is tomorrow at 10am?

My tickets are fully paid off and I have confirmation of this. Does anyone have any advice please?

I have contacted live chat & customer service, and the phone number is saying line busy.

What's security like

I have a Friday ticket and me and my friend are thinking of bringing a thc pen but not sure about the security. Would I be fine putting it in my sock or taping to my leg? How strict are they, do they pat down / have dogs etc and if they did find it would they just confiscate it and then let us in? Thanks
