Going around alone

I'm going with friends but we have different music tastes, so I will most likely be watching bands while they watch DJ sets. Does anyone have any experience going alone as its my first festival and I feel kind of stupid watching bands alone at a festival

How poor is my decision making?

Mid 40s. Never been to Reading. Thought it'd be a cool thing to do with my daughter post-GCSEs as we both love live music. Bought full weekend tickets for us both. Plan to drive there and back each day/night (1hr each way).

What was I thinking?

Am I screwed?

Will I survive?

Can I learn to like Geese in 8 weeks?

What advice can you give me?

Anyone interested in a Sat day ticket?

I'm considering selling my sat day ticket and buying a resale ticket for 2 days I want to go to. I'm not having any luck finding resale for the other day I want to go to so wondering if anyone looking to get their hands on a sat ticket? Out of curiosity

I made a free metal festival booking simulator game

I've spent the last while building a browser game called MetalFestV.

The idea is simple: open band packs, build your festival lineup, place bands across stages, and try to sell out increasingly larger festivals. You'll need to balance headliners, support acts, stage placement and overall lineup strength if you want to make it all the way to Download Festival.

It's completely free, runs in your browser, and has no ads.

I'd genuinely love feedback from people who actually listen to this music because the whole game is built around metal, metalcore, hardcore and rock festival culture.

Camping Query

I've bought a Weekend Payment Plan ticket on resale. I'm wondering whether this ticket allows me to camp or not. I presumed it was camping but now I'm not as sure.

First Time at Reading

Hi guys! I am a 10 year old going to Reading (and my first proper festival; went to Latitude in 2022 but only for half a day and only saw Foals) for all 3 days and am looking for any tips/info that might be helpful. I'm not camping, am staying in a nearby hotel, so nothing on that needed. Anything would be much appreciated! Thanks

Premium camping?

I’m thinking about upgrading to premium camping (bringing my own tent). Those of you who have used this in previous years what was your experience like? I’ll be taking my two daughters (15 & 21) and would like to know what the atmosphere is like, is in quieter than the main camps, are people there generally a bit older, are the toilets and showers better than the other campsites?
Thank you

Do I need to book a campsite?

First time at reading, should I book a campsite further away or go for fields camping? Is there a risk I don't book, and fields is full so I have no where to camp. Please help

Campsite map and info is live on the website. First year to have a 21+ only campsite.

Noticed a Gaming Arcade listed in the fields info. I saw people posting this at Download I was hoping too see it at Reading too.
