Need to talk about my full theory for Red Velvet’s #VelvetSummer because everything connects PERFECTLY. Joy said working on this concept is a dream come true I think it's because her love for mermaids and Ariel, but knowing RV, this is going to be a beautiful, haunting masterpiece.

Look closely at the logo where the mermaid is holding a surfing board! This is clue. Just like Ariel, her dream is to escape the sea and get out into the human world. A surfboard isn't just for fun—it is literally her vehicle to break free from the deep ocean.

To surf, you have to stand at the exact boundary where the ocean meets the sky. You leave the isolated deep sea to exist in both worlds at once. It parallels Ariel wanting to break out of her comfort zone to find her own voice and experience a completely new world.

But here is the dark Velvet twist: The "Surfin’ Boy". This is about a hidden identity maybe🤔. She is hiding the fact that she is a creature of the deep. For her, surfing with him is pure freedom. But for him, it is a haunting, supernatural trap. 🖤

She is a Siren perhaps. Her voice and spirit create an irresistible, magnetic pull. The boy keeps coming back to the sea, completely addicted and haunted by her, not realizing she is drawing him further into the dangerous waves. It’s the perfect tragic romance.
