I don't believe I've seen anyone post this yet. Saw a bunch of overlays of the Window Rock mural over the map but always facing due North, which to be fair that is how the ingame map draws it. But as soon as I saw on the mural a big fat red dot near the center eagle icon I thought...why not turn the center eagle NW and match up that red dot with the only permanent red dot on the ingame map (Fort Wallace).

It does line up well west to east, lining up animal symbols (Ram and Elk). I could've possibly scaled a little bit larger and some of those circled dots would fall over calibans seat but I kept it as is since it fit the size of Fort Wallace's red dot better. The Wapiti Reservation is also surrounded by a flying eagle (not one of the black and red ones) AKA Eagle Flies and what to my eye looks like a rain cloud raining (Rain Falls). Also, some buffalo just to the south of the reservation.

My assuption is some of the bigger circled dots may point to something such as the one just north of the "V" in Valentine.

And the eyes surrounding the center eagle icon are meant to be viewed facing the Window Rock.

I haven't played in a while but maybe I'll open up the game this weekend and poke around for a bit.

I have a theory. I’ve been thinking for a long time about what the feather icon near the abandoned Indian reservation close to Strawberry actually is. Some players occasionally see this icon, and I’ve seen it too. But it disappears from the map, and it seems pretty rare to spot it. I’m not sure under what conditions it appears.

Maybe it’s connected to the Spider Web mystery?

It’s worth thinking about, because the feather icon could be appearing only after certain triggers are activated.

Another clue is the guitar. That could also be part of some small musical quest or hidden event.

Overall, there’s definitely something to think about here. Maybe you simply need to perform a specific sequence of actions: get from point A to point B at certain moments, reproduce some musical patterns, and eventually come across the feather icon at the abandoned reservation and unlock some kind of hidden quest.

I'm recently catching up to this spider dream mystery. While exploring a cave and looking at the mini map as the mini map changes into a tunnel structure when we enter it right, it suddenly popped my in mind that what if the spider could actually be secret cave?.... So I Googled and how many natural caves does rdr2 have excluding the mines and guess what?... 8... And how many legs does the spider have?...8.... I don't know if anybody has thought of this already yet, but has anyone tried to place the spider image onto the rdr2 map where the tentacles or the spider's legs were placed over every cave entrances?..... So that we could explore the spider's body as the central area for whatever it is supposed to mean... If it matches, what if it could be something within the circle of the spider's body.

There is a pair of birds in the Emerald Ranch saloon.
Pretty sure that whole side story about the daughter and whatnot is just cut content.

So I have been spending some time around O’Creagh's Run and here are some interesting facts about the area & the possible connection to the BIG ONE (spider mystery)

1. When standing at the eagles nest where we find two gemstones you get a view staring at terrain that looks awfully similar to the two bird symbol, when looking on either side you see a bald eagle on each side. So we have TWO gemstones and TWO bald eagles

one on

1. each side of you, if you venture down the mountain and to the terrain itself there is a large rock seemingly in the middle of the terrains with a very consistent crow spawn, I have repeated the crow spawn more than ten times, also when moving to the point of the terrain that seems to point to O’Creagh’s Run we find a consistent bald eagle spawn that I have also tested to always spawn. So that seems to repeat the pattern of TWO birds.

2. At the bottom of the eagles nest on the two birds terrain & in the general area we see a lot of red & white flowers that could connect to the red & white feathers we see in our webs on poles.

3. while spending time in the area testing things and looking while I was on the two bird terrain lightning struck very close to three sisters mountain. I took pics and noticed where it had struck & thought couldn’t hurt to look maybe this was a sign to look there. So I did & there I found a knocked over tree & again there are red & white flowers present.

Sorry this is long winded & if it’s a bit much far fetched for some & also I understand lightning strikes can happen various places in the game and is considered a rare event & I could be reading to much into things & I’m sure that tree was and is always knocked down it just was weird that lightning struck in what seems to be the same spot. I will provide all the photos I can & encourage you guys to test some things and check this area out. Thanks for your time

You already know that with Arthur you can only access the Blackwater area using some trick or glitch. Well, when I go there with Arthur to Bear Claw, some bodies appear with arrows that seem to belong to Native Americans. One of them can be picked up, but nothing happens. However, when I go there with John, no bodies appear. Still, I’ve seen videos where they do appear when playing as John. Is this some kind of mystery? An Easter egg? Or is it nothing? Cheers.

Not unrealistic at all, who's to say stuff like this doesn't happen all the time behind our backs irl too?

Several years ago after equipping the trader outfit for Cripp's, I was trying to get a closer look at the ring he wears and noticed that it has a portrait in it. My initial guess was that it is a reused asset, but rings are a fairly rare sight in this game and I have never seen this particular one on any other character model. It has been so long since I played online regularly, I do not remember if Cripps mentions having a son or a brother, some significant individual of that sort. I doubt that there is much if any significance behind it, but I found it intriguing. This screenshot was the best I could manage on an Xbox One S.

Today I went and looked at the two birds rock formation near Colter and traveled south to the Grizzlies. I was taking a trail up when I stumbled upon this rock with a bird on it. I looked around for a bit and waited until there was more visibility and discovered a face staring at me from the mountainside across the way.

I happened to come upon this man behind the undertaker's building in Rhodes.

He was walking around and then opening his journal and making notes.

I've never seen him before or observed an NPC doing this.

Any ideas?

I am making a list of pairs of birds that appear during missions. Have you seen more? Please tell me.

CHAPTER 3: CLEMENS POINT

Advertising, the great American pastime:

• When you approach Rhodes tavern, two bluejays fly to a crate near the back door.
• When Hosea starts talking, they fly away to a water tower overlooking a train.

Blessed are the peacemakers:

• A single vulture is waiting at your lookout point. When you get close, it flies away toward an oil rig (this one is probably just set dressing).
• After you escape the cellar, the same two bluejays are waiting outside to your right on a pallet.
• They fly away, first towards your horse, then again towards the train that spawns later in the mission.

The above two missions are noteworthy because they are very easy to miss, the birds have no obvious purpose, and both times they seem to be pointing towards a train.

CHAPTER 5: GUARMA

Savagery Unleashed:

• I can't find a songbird here, but I include it because in the code "A_C_SONGBIRD_01" is listed alongside assets that are loaded into the scene.
• The only other time a bird is referred to this way in the source code is when it can be found during the mission.

Hell Hath no fury:

• The most well known one. Two songbirds appear at start of level.
• After the level is over, they land on a wall next to Arthur in the walking interactive cutscene, and fly away after Arthur gets to a certain point and coughs.
• This cutscene only plays the first time you complete the mission. You can't see it on replay.

EPILOGUE, PART 2: BEECHER'S HOPE

• Home improvement for beginners: Two bluejays appear on roof. They fly away at separate times as you pull shack down.
• A New Jerusalem: A single Bluejay lingers in almost every scene.
• The Best of Women: When Abigail arrives at the house two blue jays can be spotted sitting together on a barrel in front of the house.

WHAT THESE BIRDS AREN'T

A lot of people think they represent dead party members (the single bluejay in A New Jerusalem is commonly said to be Arthur, the songbirds in Guarma are said to be Hosea and Lenny).

This explanation persisted because there wasn't really a better theory at the time.

I hope you agree that within the context of Beechers Hope, the two bluejays are more likely to represent John and Abigail's relationship (they separate when the house falls down, there's only one when John is alone and when Abigail comes back, the birds are reunited).

But this explanation doesn't make sense for the Bluejays that appear in Chapter 3 in missions that don't have anything to do with John or Abigail.

TL;DR: HELP ME FIND PAIRS OF BIRDS IN MISSIONS BECAUSE IT SEEMS LIKE A BETTER LEAD THAN POINTING AT EVERY ROCK AND GOING "THIS KIND OF LOOKS LIKE A BIRD"
