maybe this is a dumb question but if you delete messages on rednote, does it delete for both people or just you?

I know other apps like facebook give you a short time limit before you can “delete for everyone“ or just for you, but rednote doesn’t specify, it just says “delete.”

I couldn’t find the answer anywhere else so I’m asking here.

I use Instagram a lot and it’s easy to change the algorithm to reels I wanna watching.

Since I’m new to red note it’s giving me the popular unfunny slop and I can’t find the good memes.

Ideally in English since I don’t speak mandarin.

Any English speakers who uses rednote a lot can tell me their tricks? Thanks!

I have a few questions about why some things happen on Rednote, and while I love this sub for some things, it really does often feel like the blind leading the blind oftentimes.

I know there were people claiming to be representatives from RedNote posting here a little while back, but the mods seem to have deleted their comments, so maybe they were just rando scammers who spoke with confidence.

Is there somewhere else in addition to this sub I can go and ask questions?

So I keep seeing the 🐟 emoji used for stores and stuff. And I'm assuming it's related to Xianyuu or goofish but when I try to look it up I can't find anything. Does anyone know what that means? I know 🍑 is taobao and 🍠 is rednote. I also don't know what 🎵 means.

I'm not even sure what I did to get it locked in the first place. I only recently downloaded and made an account yesterday to get more content of mt favourite niche character only the CN fandom makes content of and to interact with the Chinese player base. I haven't even posted anything, just attempted to edit my profile picture and bio, and for some reason it locked me? I'm not using a VPN, and I'm unsure if it's a "me being a foreigner" problem since I've seen my overseas mutual posting on rednote just fine. I've heard I had to show them ny passport, but I'm unsure where to show it. Help???

Sometimes my brain is so rotten from TikTok and the same 4 types of content being shoved in my face, so I open RedNote and just start watching random shit for HOURS

I don’t understand a damn thing half the time but I’m entertained 🤣

And I love that you can literally pick different sections/interests and just fall down a whole new rabbit hole

I came here to scroll for 5 minutes and now I’m watching Chinese people decorate their apartments

I might still go on there to save makeup tutorials, but the random bans are so frustrating. My appeals have been rejected twice in a row, and I’m just so disheartened. I quite literally only saved makeup tutorials, outfits, stuff like that and gave Specific Compliments (no “cute” generalization or anything.) The first time I got restricted, it was to reply to a girl thanking me for liking her post.
When I appealed, I took screenshots of my comments and everything, explaining that I wasn’t a weirdo or directing traffic away from the site (section 6 offense apparently.) I explained that I do really want to keep using the site and will improve in the future (even though they don’t give me any info to know how..), but still the result was a rejection. If anyone can tell me if support is even active please let me know :(

I was originally going to go through a proxy agent that I've purchased from before on IG, but she upcharges quite a lot. Has anyone had a positive experiencing using a shopping agent found through Rednote?

I was hit with a restriction a few days ago and tried to appeal but got rejected after 3 days, I tried using the emails given here but I havent gotten a reply I'm really desperate to get my account back as I am a foreigner living in china and it is the one social media I use the most to stay in contact with my chinese friends, should I email again? at the very least could I be told directly what I did to violate the TOS so I can learn next time.
