I texted Balboa because I was looking at a TAG Heuer and wanted to know if it was genuine. The seller was offering it to me at around 50% off and told me I could register the watch on the TAG website and that the warranty card would work.
I checked with Balboa before buying, and he told me it was actually an OF Factory piece. That honestly surprised me because the watch could be registered on the TAG website, the warranty card worked, and I later realized that even stores can sometimes pass these off as genuine watches. I actually got this confirmed when I got resized from helios they took it as a gen.The previous seller was asking ₹75K for the exact same watch, while Balboa gave me the same piece for ₹25K. He explained everything and saved me from wasting ₹50k Really glad I asked him before buying. He could have easily just sold me the watch, but instead he was completely upfront and guided me. Definitely saved me a lot of money.

Deleted my earlier post because I genuinely felt the pictures weren’t doing this watch justice. Took some time today and clicked a few better ones myself, so here we go again.
This is my custom silver-dial Datejust 41 that Balboa put together for me:
● VF case & dial
● Clean Factory Jubilee bracelet, chamfered
● CNC white-gold-plated fluted bezel
● DD3235 movement
● Deep Crystal
The silver dial was exactly what I wanted, and the finished piece absolutely delivered. The bezel, bracelet and overall finishing look killer in person, and the watch feels great on the wrist.
More than the watch itself, though, I wanted to give Balboa his flowers. He’s become my go-to watch guy. Super chill, patient and straightforward to deal with, and I personally prefer dealing with him rather than ordering through overseas TDs.
And apparently my previous appreciation post made it into a group chat with people wondering whether these reviews are fake 😂
So just to clear that up: I’m a real buyer, these are my own pictures, and this is my own watch. Anyone who genuinely doubts it is welcome to DM me.
