LIVE VIDEO FROM IPHONE

I’m looking to broadcast live video to my LED WALL during my DJ sets specially I’m looking to do so with my iPhone (type c) and I want to walk around with it (not too far)

so what would be the best way to set it up? Does having a couple converters take a toll on the signal ? Feel free to give me the most reliable setup REGARDLESS of total cost and I’m not to familiar with this process. Thanks in advance

Hey all!

I am super excited to show you LEDFLARE, my new web app, incl a Resolume plugin!

After 6 months of development (yes, with a lot of various AI tools),

I have v1 finally ready.

-- Start free without any time limit!

LEDFLARE connects your guests to the LED screens.

They scan a QR code, send a message or photo, you approve everything.

There is a really cool UI that took me a ton of time to perfect,

lots of fun features, but mainly the focus on simplicity and efficiency.

You can use the web player for non-Resolume computers,

or the included Resolume plugin that allows controls and adaptability for your needs.

Check it out for free: http://www.ledflare.live/

TouchDesigner → C++ → Custom FFGL → Resolume Arena

I’ve been building a custom real-time pipeline for audio-reactive visuals:

TouchDesigner → C++ → Custom FFGL → Resolume Arena

TouchDesigner generates the visuals, while a custom C++ application and FFGL plugin stream everything directly into Resolume for live performance.

This workflow lets me combine procedural, audio-reactive visuals with Resolume’s performance and composition tools, while keeping everything fully real-time.

Still a work in progress, but I’m really happy with how it’s evolving.

Happy to answer any questions about the pipeline or the FFGL development.

I don't understand dropping a mask on top of a clip

Can someone please explain this?

I have a clip, I unintentionally dropped a mask clip on top of it. The original clip appears in the corner. If I drag the mask to another layer the original clip is there, drag it back on top and they sort of combine. "Odd" I think and dig into it, expecting to learn something new.

But there is no masking, the original clip isn't even visible if I drop the mask to 0% opacity. I don't seem to have access to the properties of the original clip, yet it still appears in the thumbnail.

It looks like the mask has no effect on the underlying clip, unlike if it is in a mask layer above.

I feel like I am missing something. Given that Resolume allows me to drop the mask on top of the clip I suspect there should be some sort of interaction, but I can't figure it out.

The strange thing is that I had a whole layer of this and now I can't recreate it. Was it just a glitch?

I had claude write me a python script to move unused media files

I've been using Resolume for about 18 months and it took a while get my own workflow figured out. Until then I was dropping all media into a single directory, whether I used it or not. Obviously it wasn't long before it was a great resource, but a mess.

I wanted to sift out the unused files, but there is no native way to do this.

I'm too old to learn Python. But I am old enough to remember how we thought it was fun (and clever) to go into the new computer shop and run a GOTO loop on the screen in Basic :o)

Thanks Claude for the script. It isn't perfect. In a comp with 128 columns and 200 or so clips, about 10 files shouldn't have been moved, but "relocate" shows them and they can easily be moved back manually.

I hope it is useful for someone. There is room for improvement, go ahead.

Deleted layers keep reappearing in Resolume after switching columns

I’m having a weird issue in Resolume. An extra layer was created by mistake, so I tried deleting it by right-clicking and selecting "Delete". However, every time I switch to a different column, the deleted layer just pops right back up.

Does anyone know how to fix this or why it keeps happening? Any help would be appreciated!

MCP server with Claude

Just upgraded to latest arena, and connected the MCP server to my Claude desktop.

This is going to be great for show prep!

I’ve been dreading creating a new composition and having to rebuild all of my effect stacks.

I clone my comp and make updates for every show, so it grows and grows as I go, but I like to start fresh periodically.

Claude analyzed my current comp, we chatted a bit back and forth about why I do things a certain way, and then I described which features I wanted to keep.

And it went and built out a brand new composition for me, re-created my group & layer effects, labeled them nicely, and now I just need to drop in some clips and re-map my midi controller.

I did burn through my usage limit on my $20/month plan, so I bought some credits to finish the job.

But well worth it!
