Is Retroid 6 worth having since I heard it’s powerful enough to emulate games , because I plan on buying it towards the end of this month. The reason why I want to buy it, so I can play majority of PS2 and GC games.

AC Black Flag - 30fps 720p

Apparently I've been using the wrong emulator! Emulator - Sudachi! Drivers - 26.0.0 r8 Graphics accuracy level - High. Force max clock speed - enabled. Use asynchronous shader - enabled.

God dam it's good!

Figured I'd share since I struggled finding good settings. It's a RP5 btw!

(I have played about 40 mins, with 0 issues, on my GFs retroid and took the picture of mine now I have reset it up for myself aswell)

My RP Flip 2 is here

My order was confirmed on April 27th and arrived on May 18th. I spent the last two days installing emulators and scraping box art. This screen is amazing for music videos too.

Retroid Pocket 5 — one month later (honest thoughts)

Picked up a RP5 about a month ago after debating between this and the
Anbernic. Figured I'd share my experience since I see the question come
up a lot here.

What I like:
- Screen is a noticeable step up from the 3+. Bigger, brighter, and
colors actually pop
- Performance is legit — PS2 and GameCube emulation is playable, which
was the main reason I upgraded
- Battery life surprised me, getting ~7-8 hours of lighter emulation

What I don't like:
- It's bigger than I expected. Doesn't fit in my pocket anymore,
basically a mini tablet
- Fans kick in during PS2 games and get louder than I'd like
- For the price, the build quality feels cheaper than it should.
Creaks a bit when I grip it tight

For the $172 I paid, the performance jump is real. But if you're mainly
playing GBA/PS1 stuff, the 3+ is probably still the smarter buy.
Happy to answer questions if you're deciding between the two.

the target/best buy rp6s are real

i feel like i cheated. ordered an orange stick top on april 27th and got super excited. eventually became more and more weary of the months long wait and when i heard that target had some for a premium eventually i couldn’t help myself. they were sold out of orange but i convinced myself purple would be less abrasive when playing games. i ordered on saturday on it came today, wednesday (im in US). purple looks sweet in person. just setting it up. i don’t feel the delayed gratification high that would have come from waiting but i sure am glad to have this thing and can’t wait to get started

Recommendations for bigger screen than a Pocket G2?

I have a G2 and absolutely love it, but the screen size is a little small for my preference. What are some options for a larger screen Android device?
I’m looking to just use it for Xbox/Steam/PSN cloud streaming so it doesn’t have to be grunty - just preferably Wifi 6

RP4P - use cases beyond retro emulation?

I've had a Retroid Pocket 4 Pro for about six months. I really like it - great device, feels really nice in the hands and runs what it runs really well.

However I've recently realised that I don't really like playing most retro games handheld. My nostalgia for SNES/N64/GCN is attached to playing these games on a TV while sitting on the couch, and recently I'm finding that if I want to play these systems I will play them on my docked Steam Deck with a proper controller - I enjoy them way more that way. I only really play Pokemon Emerald Rogue on the RP4P (which I could play on my 3DS or RG34XX) and Vampire Survivors (which I could play on the Deck), so it's starting to feel a bit redundant to own the RP4P.

I had the thought that I could turn it into a kind of dedicated roguelike machine with Balatro, Slay the Spire, Vampire Survivors/Crawlers etc (perfect for my commutes to work) but I'd have to either pay full price for the Android versions, or go deep into tinkering to sideload (is that the word for it?) the games which is way beyond my skillset. Sadly using Gamenative to play my Steam versions just doesn't seem to work on the RP4P either.

So my question for the gamers is: are there other use cases for the RP4P that would justify holding on to it? Is there a decent handful of non-retro games that I could install without needing to take an IT short course? What would you do in my situation?

Flip 2 FPS and 3rd person shooter game recommendations

Just got a Flip 2 SD865 and I'm wondering what are some people's favorite shooter games that run decent or flawless on this device.

I'm open to emulation on any system or PC games if it's playable somehow. I'm also curious about any native Android games that would be worth buying, as long as there is offline play and zero p2w etc. Thanks

First game finished!

I got a retroid pocket 5 as my second handheld. I bought it second hand for €150 along with a case. I just finished my first game on it, a short hike. It was great cozy fun! Looking forward to playing all kinds of games on this thing.

4px shipping having issues in India?

So I ordered a Retroid Pocket 6 from the official Retroid website on March 30th. I recently contacted their support through email, and they told me that “there are currently no available 4PX shipping routes to India.”

Does anyone know what exactly this means? Is 4PX facing issues with shipping to India right now, or is this just a temporary customs/logistics problem?

Would appreciate if anyone from India who recently ordered from Retroid or other Chinese handheld brands could share their experience.

Keeping busy on a long day of delayed trains

Game is Mind over Magnet, it's currently in a Humble Bundle, it played perfectly for the first two levels then froze, if anyone has any Gamenative settings that have worked for this I'm all ears!
