I’m headed to Ace Hardware to pick up a box of 3M Scotch-Brite 7448 and 7447 pads. I have a couple of Raffles bracelets that need to be rebrushed and I’m wondering if anyone has any experience (positive or negative) DIY rebrushing.
I’m opting for hand-rebrushing to get a feel for it, but I do have both a rotary tool and a polisher with various buffing/polishing wheels.
Specifically, if you’ve done it - what are your thoughts and can you show before/ after results? If not, I’ll have results in the next couple of days.

Here is my newest personal build, only just the start but very happy so far. Currently running a 2836 ETA but may look to change it in the future. First time aging a dial for a creamy patina over pumpkin. A little more crown guard shaping needed I think.

I couldn’t have asked for a better final product. The attention to detail, parts sourcing (from literally all over the world) - I smile every time I look down. While I don’t like the term “grail” because it’s thrown around way too much - this is probably the first watch I can say isn’t ever going anywhere.
