All I really remember about it is that it was canonverse, i think it was Bendemption in the sense that Ben essentially defected to the resistance and was largely under Rey's charge, her friends were NOT ok with it, they had to attend events like galas and political things together, they fought a good bit, they had a LOT of sex, and there was a scene where Ben and Rey literally leave a wedding (?) ceremony because they're fighting and he ends up eating her out while she's got her back against a wall in a hallway. Some details may be a little off but that's all I've got haha. If anyone knows what I'm talking about, please help a rat out lol 😅🦋

Looking for fic recommendations like this! Rey and Ben/Kylo meet under different circumstances still within cannon universe. Before Rey joins the resistance or even before Ben joins Snoke.

I’ve read Within Monsters and The Sword of the Jedi series and loved them both! I’m open to a lot, smut, no smut, good Ben or bad Ben haha, I don’t really care if the characters are OOC. I do prefer a more plot heavy story.

The reviews for The Mandalorian and Grogu are starting to come in, and the response is lukewarm with some sounding an alarm for the entire franchise. So how does this relate to the Ben Solo movie? Let's recap.

We know that THFBS was ready to go when Iger returned. He nixed the plan in favor of a Rey and the New Jedi Order movie. But the YouTube Bros sphere went nuts and started a whine fest campaign against it. At the same time, KK was rejecting scripts for the NJO movie. (To mess with Iger is my personal conspiracy theory.)

Then out of the blue, it was announced that season 4 of The Mandalorian would become a movie instead. The NJO movie was bumped again for the Starfighter movie directed by Shaun Levy because he had success with the Deadpool and Wolverine movie, and Iger decided he could do the same for Star Wars. The Deadpool and Wolverine movie had been greenlit by Bob Chapek during his brief tenure, and Iger is nothing if not a human Xerox copy machine.

So, if not for Iger, we would be counting down to Ben Solo's return, and I am sure with the talents involved, the reviews would be glowing.

I plan on supporting The Mandalorian and Grogu ( I just bought a Grogu plush for my nephew), but it is difficult not to think about what might have been (and still may be) if not for Iger and his poor decision making.

Today, Damon Lindelof opened up about his scrapped Star Wars movie, which served as the original draft for the New Jedi Order film before Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy took over the project. He stated that his version would have centered around Rey, Finn, and Poe, which is exactly what most of us expected. Interestingly, he didn't mention Ben at all, though to be fair, bringing him up might have been a massive spoiler for The Hunt For Ben Solo if they were trying to keep things under wraps.

I've seen some speculation that Lindelof’s NJO and THFBS were meant to be directly connected, which makes a lot of sense given his comments about needing his script to properly address the aftermath of TROS. In fact, if THFBS was quietly cancelled in 2023, that timeline might actually explain why Lindelof was let go from his project.

These two films were being developed right around the same time, with Lindelof exiting right as the writing for THFBS was wrapping up in 2023. Take this next part with a massive grain of salt since the source is Jeff Sneider, but word back in May 2023 was that Lindelof’s movie would have actually been set 60 years after TROS, focusing on an elderly Rey training a brand new generation of Jedi and the new main protagonist and no mention of Ben Solo.

Lindelof noted today that Lucasfilm didn't actually hate that core premise; there were just issues with the script itself. If we assume these two projects were being developed simultaneously and the 60-year time jump leak is true, what does that actually mean for Ben's fate and the future of Reylo? It really begs the question of whether THFBS was going to end without Rey and Ben ever actually reuniting. Of course, this is based on just a leak that is probably not true. How connected do you think the films might have been?

Hello! I'm looking for a fic from years and years ago. I don't remember a ton about it, but it was modern au/college au. Rey and Ben/Kylo are either pen pals or are talking online. They know each other in real life, but don't realize who it is they're talking to.

The one scene I remember pretty well is when they agree to meet in person. Ben gets there first, so Rey recognizes who he is and leaves before he sees her. Then after being stood up, Ben sends her a message along the lines of "It's okay, I wouldn't have wanted to meet me either". Rey feels terrible about it and does eventually tell him the truth.

Sorry if it's vague, I read this years ago and remembered it recently but can't find it.
