I recently purchased the Moterm Elite Rings Planner Cover without Big Back Pocket - A6
But it doesn't fit any of the A6 or personal sized inserts I've purchased to go inside. I've tried Filofax personal sized and Amazon assortment of A6.
Where do you get inserts to fit inside the Moterm?!
I almost made the jump to a traveler's notebook system just to get a truly pocketable notebook that could survive sitting in my slim jeans. However, the game changer was discovering that pairing flexible plastic dividers with three-hole plastic rings creates an ideal DIY pocket binder. Because the entire setup is made of durable, pliable plastic, it stays surprisingly comfortable, bends with movement, and refuses to permanently crease or deform under weight the way cardstock or kraft covers eventually do.
Hi everyone! I’m looking for a true A6 / ISO A6 leather ring binder — something made for actual 105 × 148 mm A6 paper, not Personal size (95 × 170 mm), which I know is sometimes also called “A6.”
One of the main reasons I want true A6 is that I can simply cut standard A4 paper down into four A6 sheets. It would make it really easy to use whatever paper I like instead of having to buy specific Personal-size inserts.
Ideally, I’d love something slim and easy to carry around, preferably in leather.
Does anyone know of any brands that make a proper true A6 leather ring binder?
Hi! I thrifted this planner and have checked with staples, day runner, at a glance, jet pens, franklin covey, and amazon and haven’t been able to find blank page (lined or otherwise) refills for this planner! the inserts are 6.75x4.5. the part that is tricky is the ring pattern, it seems to be an old design or something that is no longer made? the existing refills that match the ring pattern are too long for the zipper. I’m hoping someone may be able to assist me, thank you!
note: everything that’s in there was already in there when i got it!!
note2: distance between the three rings is 3/4 inches and large gap between the two groups is 2 inches
note3: guys i THINKKKK we figured it out. i think this is a personal wide cover. i ordered some inserts and will keep yall updated 🫡 ty to everyone !!!!!
edit: corrected the measurement of the insert
Hi, Im an architect, 35M. I use notebook a lot so I wanted to make a nice leather notebook for myself for a long time, and today is the day! I saved some money to buy about 9 sqf of very nice orange pueblo leather. Next project will be another cover for my B5 size noterbook
Found some cheap 11mm rings and used buttero leather (in the color mahogany, I think). Added some pockets to the inside to add in a notebook if I feel like it! I was using a tn style planner with a monthly notebook and one in bullet journal format, but I really liked the versatlity of rings so I’m giving it a try.
Does anyone have any reccommendations for Weekly Inserts in the Alistair Method format? I think they’re also called “Roling Weekly”.
I am new. I'm Tired of something missing from my system. Ready to create my own.
I like using fountain pens. Can you tell me which papers you guys are using for the printables? Trp paper? Thanks!
It’s Hobonichi season and the Hobo FOMO is real. I love the revealed collaborations so much, but I’m a rings planner person - so instead of buying covers I won’t use, I’m turning my favorite collab designs into dashboards. That’s the beauty of rings: if I love something, I can find a way to bring it into my planner.
Upgraded to the moterm luxe 2.0 in the pocket size. I’m obsessed with how chunky the ring diameter is, and how functional the pocket size is.
I’d like to ask for your help in checking what my options are for A5 Narrow (TN standard size) ring binder with 6 rings. At the moment I am only aware of MeePlus and Wuzhi offering custom 6-ring binders in that A5 Narrow size, and they are fairly expensive for that size (because of shipping/customs fees for USA). 110mm wide x 210mm tall refills. MeePlus is basically $200 for A5 Narrow, and Wuzhi is $160 shipped, but possibly with extra customs fees on top. Is there anything else that I should be looking at for that size? Any Japanese options? I know Plotter only makes standard A5, maybe because the parent company makes the official TN, and the same size would create competition.
I have tried adding slim rings to an actual TN standard cover, and while it does work well enough, the smallest rings I could find are 15mm, and that makes 110mm-wide inserts stick out by nearly 1cm when the cover is closed. So I’d have to manually cut down to 10cm for every sheet, which I’m not prepared to do regularly. If anyone knows where I can get 11mm diameter A5 6-ring separate hardware, I’d appreciate that advice too.
Thank you!
I loved their Travelers Notebook style leather and wanted to invest in a really nice personal size rings. I do have a video of like a mini tour but I’m not sure Reddit allows that. I am making my own layouts on Tomoe River paper and just deciding how best to get everything that I want in there
It’s a bit chunky just due to the thickness of the leather but it is very sturdy
