I know this would really cause computers to overheat, but imagine you could turn enemies to your side...maybe a "Pokeball" style special equipment allowing you to catch an enemy...

Imagine going against a boss with a few former enemies now on your side behind you! ie: Bison charging by your side, etc.

Im sure there's been all kinds of Gesture of the Drowned shenanigans, so maybe this isnt new. I also play with artifact of command, so it isn't impressive either, but I wanted to share because it is nice to know. I feel like this is reasonably *possible* without command, even, but probably not consistent.

EDIT: Wanted to mention near the top that this should work with every character.

I just discovered that if you have one functional coupler with the disposable missile launcher equipment in your back slot, you probably only need one gesture, and a bunch of fuel cells, you can switch to the missile launcher and the gesture will consume all your charges, you can switch back to your other equipment, and it actually queues all the missile from the launcher, so you can have two equipment going at the same time, with one of those being a unending barrage of missiles.

You can use this to easily hit the frame before Mithrix steals your items to bypass that part and skip straight to escaping the moon. Thats where I like to get a little dirtier with the combo and have milky chrysalis in the other slot, as you need to have a second item slot for this to work anyway, and the chrysalis let's you do 2 important things for trivializing this stage, it let's you just fly straight up to mithrix without dealing with the pillars, and then when it comes time to escape after beating mithrix you can just fly to the ship. From there, there actually isnt a height limit like with teleporter ranges, and with the Gesture and fuel cells you indefinitely stay in the air, so you can literally just fly close to the ship to start the counter and then fly way above it and walk away from the computer.

I really dont know the exact numbers required to pull this all off, Ill give my best guess at the bottom, but it honestly doesnt require a lot, just requires specifics. The numbers Im gonna list under this are just for the two skips I just explained, and almost certainly wont be enough for the first stages of mithrix alone. The reason I dont know exact numbers is because I went wayyyy overkill not expecting it to work that well, and also used like 15 plasma shrimps and accidentally grabbed 2 pocket I.C.B.M.s instead of just one, just because I could.

Anyway, my best guess as to the minimum requirements to pull off the skips would be:

1 Functional Coupler

1 Disposable Missile Launcher

1 Milky Chrysalis

1 Gesture of the Drowned

10-15 Fuel Cells*

*Very unsure, I had 20 something and it was overkill, but I also had wayyy more than minimum of everything. I actually did completely beat Mithrix with just this missile launcher, but I was going crazy with it.

Also, just in case somebody here hasn't realized, with artifact of command, you can grab trophy hunter's tricorns early on to guarantee your coupler. I say early on because if you start getting too powerful with will-o-wisp or whatever it can be harder to get the tricorn kill. If you grab regenerating scrap early on you can trade every 5 scrap for whatever legendary you want every single time you go to through the blue portal with the newt altar. Thats also where you can reliably get the gestures of the Drowned with the artifact of command as well.

We are really new to the game. Any tips and advice would be greatly appreciated! Looking forward to trying out some DLC soon.

Hey guys so I’m new to the game. I’ve been playing loader here and there. I’m having a hard time enjoying the game with my friends because there’s so much I have no idea what anything is. Does anyone have any advice. I feel like I see why the game is fun but I’m having a hard time enjoying it.

SIX DRONE SCRAPPERS!!!!

I used to use a mod back in the day which enabled you to change rareity of boss drops.

Mod doesn’t seem to work anymore.
Is there another similar/another mod that does that and works?
