Good wedding venue?

After a few years together, my brother popped the question to his girlfriend. Now we need to find a good spot for their wedding. Do you have any good places a wedding venue could be?

They don’t have a budget yet, so throw anything my way. I’ve only lived in Roseburg for a week, so I don’t know the area well enough to have an opinion.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Gen X, non religious, frog supporters?

There's gotta be more of us out there?..seeking friendly common interest Gen X friends..yes I know I'm in Roseburg. DM 's welcome for the above. Where do we find each other around here? And if you want to leave a nasty comment please move on. Restrain yourself from proving my point that Roseburg folk are indeed crazy flag humpers.

What does a teen of color and lgbtq even do in this town?

Everything i search it's "RACISTS, HOMOPHOBIC" because of whatever crazy sht went down last year, but everywhere has atleast one place for everyone, like come on. Im just a teen trying to enjoy his youth and want to make friends hopefully before school starts..being the new kid with no friends sucks, but also being a kid surrounded by loser blonde heads with nothing in their skulls is way worse (i do not mean this rudely, idk if yall know, but your town has big rumors that you suck...i hope it not true and that why i here askin!), so, please, where do you find kids like me in this weird town

So what's the norm?

Husband and I moved to the area and bought a house in Winchester. I am white, he is Asian pacific islander, leaning more towards his Hawaiian blood so he is pretty brown. Our neighbors refuse to make eye contact with us. I wave and smile, they find somewhere else to look. Is this a racism thing? A local culture thing? Did we miss some sort of thing like I need to make cookies and go introduce myself? We are not super social, but we moved here from a neighborhood on the coast where old ladies stopped to talk and drop off random food or toys so this cold reception is weird. We have been told in the past that we are great neighbors and that we are quiet even with our two kids so I dont think we "did" anything.

Copied from Facebook

City Councilors approving Flock cameras without the concent of the governed should be held liable under the Civil Rights Act of 1871.

They are two or more persons conspiring to deprive citizens of their 4th amendment rights with no equal protection or right to face the accusers.

If Flock is listing us on their ping list for police departments, they are inherently the one pointing fault and guilt and should therefore be called into court as a witness for every offense they allege.

"If such dragnet-type law enforcement practices as respondent envisions should eventually occur, there will be time enough then to determine whether different constitutional principles may be applicable." US V Knotts, we have legal precedent to have them removed for the blatant breach and disregard for the constitution of these united states and the 4th, 5th and 6th amendment.

The 4th, for unlawfully and continously searching a mass surveillance database looking for precursors to use to allege a crime without substantial verification a crime even occurred.

The 5th, for denying due process prior to the removal of "life, liberty or property". Flock cameras track every aspect of your life. From where you go, to what headphones you use, to your fitbit, to what type of porn you watch. (https://www.leonardocompany-us.com/lpr) all of this technology was installed, pushed and paid for without the fully informed concent of the governed, more specifically, without any say from us.

The 6th, for denying your right to face your accusers. Police pull you over SPECIFICALLY because of a Flock ping. And then are told directly to not mention Flock. Flock alerting police DIRECTLY makes them the accusers of an alleged crime. If I rob your nan, and you call the cops - you have to go to court so I can question you. Why doesn't Flock?

I want to know the EXACT Councilors that voted for Flock to be placed in our community, and I want to see them tried under 42 U.S.C. §1983, stripped of their title, and shunned from the community.

Rant over have a good day, and f^ck Larry Rich

Hi everyone. My uncle had some mental health issues and has ended up living rough in and around Grants Pass. He had this truck and it has been seen in the town in the last few months. It’s an extended cab with contractors ladder racks. Wondering if anyone has and information.

Roseburg City Council

Hi Everyone!

My name is Samuel Denney. I'll be running for Roseburg City Council for Ward 3 in the November election. Not sure if you're in my Ward? You can check out the interactive Ward Map of Roseburg and find out which ward you live in. I'm just starting my campaign and getting to know members of my ward and the community and wanted to reach out to those of you here on Reddit.

A little about myself:

I was born and raised in Roseburg. I graduated from Douglas High School and went on to graduate from UCC's nursing program in 2013. I completed school for my Bachelor's in Nursing at OHSU in Portland before finalizing my schooling at Capella University where I received my Master's in Nursing Administration and Business Leadership. I have worked at Mercy's Emergency Department over the past 13 years and have spent the last 5 years working as a Director overseeing operations of two Opioid Treatment Programs with Adapt Integrated Health Care. I've worked with many different demographics during my time as a RN in both my roles. Demographics include the unhoused, those suffering from opioid and other substance use disorders, individuals suffering from mental health, and people across the age spectrum.

I currently hold many local positions in Roseburg including:

  1. Current Commissioner for the Roseburg Parks and Recreation Commission
  2. Current Treasurer of the local Audubon chapter (Umpqua Bird Alliance)
  3. Current Member of the Douglas County Drug, Alcohol, and RX Task Force (DART)
  4. Current Member of the Coos and Curry Drug Task Force
  5. Current Member of the Oregon chapter of the American Association for the Treatment of Opioid Dependence (AATOD)
    1. In September of 2025 I joined other members of AATOD in Washington DC on a "Hills Day" where we spoke to multiple state senate offices advocating for funding related to treatment of Opioid addiction.

I'm current performing a community needs assessment to get a better understanding of priorities and concerns for the community. If you would like to participate in a 10-15 minute survey, your input would be greatly appreciated.

I'm looking forward to connecting with community members in my Ward but also members of Roseburg. Over the next two months I'll be hosting several town halls and hoping to join weekends at the local Saturday market both downtown and on Harvard. Please ask any questions you may have. I encourage the interaction and look forward to hearing from you.

If you want to keep up to date on future town halls and information as I build my campaign, feel free to follow me on Facebook.

Does Roseburg disposal not take recycling?

I moved to roseburg from ten mile about 7 months ago. Out there we didn't have trash service. Here, I pay for a trashcan and a recycling bin.

I usually leave out my cans for any homeless that want them. This last month I've had recycling that the homeless don't want. I've left it out on trash day the last 4 weeks. It hasn't been picked up and one time I was kicked over ...

Why the hell do I pay for a recycling bin if they don't take it?
