During Pierrot’s early years of working as an entertainer and muse for the Duke of Orléans to provide for his family, he experienced much internal suffering and turmoil. Though he had to keep all of it to himself since no one was there to help him in any way. Going against the Duke was the death penalty itself. He thought about fighting back against the makeup artists and the people who dressed him and make for an escape, but he knew that would not make anything better, and he wouldn’t get far.
