This song is major. Sounds like it could be on House of Sugar or even Rocket. Posting because it might be easy to miss: I love Alex G but I didnt make it through the whole soundtrack album on first listen because the other songs very much sound like they belong in the context of the movie and not so much just listening. Also, the first time I tried to watch Worlds Fair I turned it off after about 30 mins for being too slow.... decided to re-watch to the end and was shocked by how I felt at the end of the movie and then THE CREDITS SONG is a complete banger???? I hope this can help at least one more person discover this song!!!! <3 <3

I saw Alex G in Del Mar tonight and the crowd was terrible. The audience was so young and fucking disrespectful, they were all talking during the quiet moments of the show and all throughout the songs they didn’t know. Nobody was dancing or reacting to the music at ALL except to yell out their requests during the middle of songs. The way that his younger fans conduct themselves almost makes me never want to go to another Alex G show again. Absolutely zero concert etiquette. I made all of this up btw

Listen, I know this is beating a dead horse but I’M TIRED!!!!! How are you watching Alex G live and not singing, dancing, NOTHING. These kids are just standing there with a blank stare on their face with their phone up and looking at you annoyed when you’re having fun and jumping around. My boyfriend and I had fun regardless but it’s annoying getting dirty looks for enjoying…the…show??? Where are my other tired Uncs/long time fans at?

I went to the Vegas show. I’m not from Vegas. I’m from the countryside in Indiana. I hate Vegas. Don’t ask me why I went to Vegas to see him.
Of course many of the people there didn’t know the niche songs, like Kicker. I didn’t really care, if anything it made everyone know I’m a real one for knowing the words.
Lots of performative losers. Like this one guy we tried cutting in line wearing sunglasses when it wasn’t even sunny. The line was practically a blob and we were there earlier than everyone in line we just went to get some in and out. We went pretty far back in the line and then cut and some a hole said “Line starts back there”. Had his arm wrapped around his girl. Bet he didn’t know 10 Alex g songs.
Anyway, Alex and his band are just fantastic. It was mostly just that one experience with that guy in the line that sucked. Crowd was obviously very young, but I’m just glad they get to see him perform even if they’re somewhat annoying.
