Are "The Edit" hotels all ultra luxurious and expensive?

I just signed up for CSR, and I am looking through the portal for hotel rooms in different cities in Europe. All the hotels are north of $1000 per night, basically makes the point of saving with the credit statement to be a useless discount lol.

EDIT: I was only looking at Rome, Barcelona and Amalfi Coast in southern Italy as that’s my next destination. It seems that the cost in US cities is much more reasonable.

Paze and United 14x Points

Just bought a flight on United and paid with Paze. My $1097.53 flight is essentially $943.88 now!

I’m waiting until next month to book another international flight so I can maximize the 14x points. Amazing!

Add an authorized user to claim travel protection

Is it possible to add an authorized user (adult child) to claim travel benefits (insurance) after the event (cancellation/unexpected expenses)? All the purchases and bookings were made using the Sapphire Reserve card for the benefit of that adult child.

Marriot Gold Status

I just activated the new Marriott promo but wondering if what I plan to do will work:

So I plan to stay 4 nights at the Marriott magnificent mile in Chicago this August. I will be booking room directly thru the Marriott app but will pay with points (transfered over from Chase Sapphire Reserve). Also will be using company promo code for discounted room rates.

Need to know if this 3 day stay will qualify me for Gold Status all the way til Feb 2028.

Thank you all for your help!

Explain it like I’m 5: Apple One Premier - how much credit do I get?

If I sign up for Apple One Premier for $37.95 to share everything with my family (I need the storage)…..how much credit would I get with Chase?

I’m trying to get all this set up and weighing benefits/cost with my Verizon set up.
Thanks!

Is the $150 per 6 month Exclusive Tables credit a "single visit" thing?

Was reading the terms and conditions and didn't see anything that answers this.

Assuming the bill on a restaurant visit is $50 each visit, so if you visit this restaurant three within 180 days from June to December, the total is $150, and Chase will reimburse you $150 and your net payment is $0 right? Or is this a $150 per visit per $180 days so if the bill is $50 on a single visit Chase credits $50 you pay $50 but the remaining credit of $100 is wasted because it is limited to one visit?

Price match guarantee is a SCAM

I booked a non-refundable hotel stay through the chase portal for a 2 night stay in Dallas priced at slightly over $1,000.

I submitted a screenshot from Agoda where the price was ~$543. This was denied for the following reasons:

- Cancellation policy was not stated (you can see it in the image it says the price is non-refundable)

- # of persons is not stated (you can see it says up to 2 people)

- the price is no longer available when the representative tried to look for it (how is that my problem?? I submitted proof at the time of booking and they looked at it nearly 18 hours later, so of course that price may no longer be offered)

The best part about all of this - there is no way to dispute the denial. And I’m not even allowed to submit another request even though it’s still within the 24 hour window.

UNACCEPTABLE AND AN ABSOLUTE SCAM.

Didn't activate stubhub offer - $150 lesson

My bad I guess. Has anyone done this had any luck calling Chase? It doesn't look good. I need an actual spreadsheet to mentally keep track of these benefits because I had just used the restaurant one without activation.

Went to Dinner on 6/30 to meet restaurant credit, posted as 7/1

Like the title says, I went to dinner on the night of June 30th (like many CSR members) to utilize my bi-annual credit.
Seems like it posted as of 7/1 and the credit got applied to my balance for the 2nd half of the year. Has anyone had any success in calling and getting them to overturn this? I don’t see an option on the app anywhere to dispute this

New to Reserve-looking for tips!

Hi everyone. I’m excited to finally have this card and I’m hoping you can offer any tips on using the card to maximize its benefits. I am looking for where to even begin with knowing how to use it for deals and if there’s a list somewhere? My husband will be a verified user on the card too but won’t have a separate account but I’m assuming that works just fine for sharing benefits. Excuse my ignorance and thank you in advance for taking the time to share your hot tips!

Price match selective availability is unfair

It has been weeks now since some personal CSR holders had access to the price match perk. This means that some cusotmers have access to a benefit that is easily worth hundreds of dollars, while some don't. How is this fair? Did anybody try to protest and got a fair treatment?

I don't have access to price match yet and I tried to price match by chatting with secure messages and then calling in, with no luck. Hence, I likely lost around $150 because Chase isn't able to rollout a function for everybody at the same time.

Chase CSR StubHub Credit — West Coast timezone cutoff glitch on June 30th

Hey everyone, looking for data points on the Sapphire Reserve StubHub credit rollover.
**The Issue:** Made a purchase on June 30th at 10:12 PM PT (activated the benefit beforehand). Because StubHub processes on East Coast time, the transaction timestamped at **July 1st, 1:24 AM ET**.
**The Result:** The automated system mistakenly ate my new H2 (July–Dec) credit instead of using my remaining H1 (Jan–June) credit.
**Current Status:** Called the Sapphire Reserve line today. The rep agreed the West Coast timezone gap caused the error and submitted an **escalation ticket** to the back-office billing team (3–5 business days turnaround).
**Questions:**

  1. Has anyone else on the West Coast successfully fought this midnight ET rollover glitch?
  2. Did Chase fix it via a manual statement credit, or did they award 15k Ultimate Rewards points instead?

Disappointing Customer Service

I wanted to book a round trip from Texas to Michigan to escape the summer heat. I found a perfect non stop round trip flight on aa.com and right before I booked it i remembered that if I booked it on Chase travel I could earn even more points. I head over to the travel portal plug in the flight details select the outbound flight and then I don't see the option to pick the proper returning flight. When I do a one way search for the return trip the flight I need shows up. I could book the flights individually but that was going to cost about $500 more than just booking the round trip through aa.com. So I call up Chase's customer service line and ask if they can book the exact two flights I need in a round trip. The representative was polite but said they absolutely can not help me do this. Seem like a pretty easy ask for an $800/year travel credit card.

Kimpton Grand Roatan

I wanted to endorse a great deal I got on a free stay at the Kimpton Grand Roatan. I combined my Edit and IHG credits with points at a great value. And it’s a nice resort! Champagne and fruit at check-in and a room upgrade. Also fantastic breakfast here. I basically never stay at IHG properties because I’m a huge Marriott person. Idk, the Chase and IHG partnership is a great advertisement for IHG. Also, have the IHG diamond status at $75k which gives you Hertz President’s Circle. Undervalued benefits for CSR that I feel like my friends never talk about.

The EDIT and Marriott Bonvoy

I've booked a Marriot Bonvoy eligible stay through Chase Edit at the Mandalay Bay, but the reservation is not appearing in my Marriot account as it has in the past. I am sure I used my bonvoy number. No one at MGM or Marriott seems to be able to help and as usual Marriot is saying 3rd party is not eligible for elite benefits or credits. Should I be concerned I will not receive my points and elite nights for this stay?

Don’t be me, make sure you complete your stubhub credit by the deadline at 11:59 EASTERN time

I was sure to order on stubhub at 2130 PST on 6/30 and it posted on 7/1. Just called and Chase said because it’s after midnight EST it’ll count as the credit for the second half of the year

The Edit and Select Hotel Credit Trigger

I am planning on staying 2 nights at this property in Tokyo. The total is $951. Would this stay trigger both the $250 from The Edit and Select Hotel Credit benefits, bringing down my total to $451?

It has The Edit on the top and also IHG hotels are part of the additional $250 credit. Does anyone know?
