Player of the season (EXCLUDING TOM WILLIS)

It's my belief that with the outstanding performances and stats this season that Willis can't really be denied PoTS.

With that in mind, I would be interested who you would vote for, if not for Willis?

ZH10: simply one of the best kickers in rugby.

So glad Zoe is our 10!

Another Zoe Post... I admit it, I'm a Zoe fanboy!

This is the BBC team of the tournament for the Women's Six Nations that has just finished.

Here is what it says about ZH10:

>10. Zoe Harrison (England)

>Carla Arbez and Dannah O'Brien pushed her close but Harrison takes the number 10 jersey. With so much star power, the Red Roses need someone to unlock that talent, and Harrison did just that, recording a 100% passing accuracy and recording the most line break assists of any fly-half (eight).

>With the boot, she had the best kick retention rate of any fly-half, with 14% of her kicks from hand being regathered, either by herself or a team-mate, but it was her performance off the tee which really stood out.

>She slotted 29 of her 31 kicks – including 10 out of 11 from within 10 metres of the touchline - with her 94% success rate being the highest of any player. According to Opta's xGK (expected goals kicked) model, the average goal-kicker would have been expected to make only 65% of those same attempts.

How good?

Saracens jersey in Australia

Are there any Aussie Saracens fans on here? If there are, do you know of anywhere in Australia selling Saracens jerseys? I need to try them on before buying as all the sizes of jersey’s now differ and seem to change.

I think Bob would appreciate this one!

See the menu for the name: 'Steak it Easy'!

Spotted at the rugby club I support when I attended a match this weekend.

It was an absolutely quality sandwich: slices of steak, onions, mushrooms, and horseradish sauce in a ciabatta roll. Delicious! 😋

Had to give it a try when I saw the punny name and didn't regret my choice!

Good Week Bad Week Gloucester

To be entirely honest I was at a wedding this week, and watched the game on the train whilst being rather sorry for myself.

Good Week:

Saracens - Bonus point for Exeter aside, pretty much the perfect week for us - an stress-free four try win with those above losing. No injuries and Quins having their good performance for q2 a fortnight early.

Maro Itoje - What a player, every week (even when he was “out of form”) there are game changing turn overs. It seems he’s playing with a bit more attitude and swagger this year, which is working. I certainly take him for granted. We’re watching an all time great week-in week out.

The Scrum - As a unit they’ve had a great season but a tough couple of matches. Glos has a good front row and I don’t think they got anything out of us.

Bad Week

Me and my attempts at coping with Tom Willis departure - He was back to his absolute best this week and will be harder to replace than Billy. The worse part is he seems to be growing closer and closer with the rest of the team.

Second half Intensity - Maybe it’s because I was flagging a bit at this point, but it was another week where I felt after the bonus point we kind of switched off and expected them to roll over like Sale. We can’t against Harlequins.

Burke’s Kicking - Farrell spoiled us for twenty years and Jackson before him but it’s a surprise if Burke kicks anything out wide. We’ll need a lot better from him at Sandy Park.

Post match: Saracens v Gloucester

Saracens 30 Gloucester 14

Well it couldn’t have gone much better this weekend, could it? Bris and Exeter losing and the most comfortable since Sale. I’m a fairly nervous watcher but I didn’t ever really feel any jeopardy. Encouragingly for us it seems Williams was a huge loss for Gloucester and I think our pack took my comments in the preview about their scrum personally because we really went for them. I think maybe there will be some disappointment around the two tries conceded because our defence was largely excellent. I think we’ve switched to a containing drift and it’s working very well.

I think a lot of the usual suspects were great today, Maro a deserved man of the match. Burke is really pulling some big plays out in key moments. Willis with the usual trifecta of big carries, tackles and turnovers. Segun is in fantastic form too, I don’t expect him to get an England call up but it’s hard to argue against on this form. In the conditions I liked Hartley’s ability to crash it up against a very good Glaws midfield. Earl looked more like his England ball in hand and Theo M was throwing some outrageous offloads considering the conditions.

Here’s hoping the next few weekends are similarly stress free but I rather doubt it after the past few Quins matches.

Still, 4 finals down, 2 to go!

Season ticket renewal question

I am probably being dumb but renewing season tickets defaults to the "Plus" option including the Prem Cup matches. How do I revert to regular season tickets without "Plus" for the same seats? Doesn't seem obvious from the website!
