Does anyone have experience with mast cell tumors or removal? I am about to pick up my dog from surgery and removal of one on his ear. I have had so many FNA done on normal benign lipomas, but this one acted different growing and shrinking with stress. I now am freaking out about all other bumps, and he has plenty as a 12 year old schnoodle. Seeking advice to lessen his stress if you’ve dealt with one, or support, or anything at this point.

A few weeks ago, we had to send our 17 year old Yorkie poo over the rainbow bridge. We’re going to take a few months before we bring our next dog home, so in that time, I am trying to find a good breed that will fit our lifestyle.

I promoted AI with our needs—small dog, long life expectancy (I realize nothing is promised but a long life expectancy is a better starting point than a short one), moderate exercise needs, moderate grooming, poodle mix (for allergies). We have a teen and two adults and I work from home 3 days a week, so we’ll need to be able to crate the dog for longer periods twice a week.

Was AI right to steer us toward a mini schnoodle? Do you think this is a good lifestyle fit?
