Finally discovering the old SCTV sketches after hearing the cast members talk about it for years. I can't help but feel nostalgic watching John Candy even though I'm seeing a lot of this for the first time.

Does anyone remember a segment of the Fishin’ Musician when Gil Had his wife , Whitey Fisher ( Catherine O’Hara) on ? They ended up going antique shopping with their band guests ?

“Gil , that was a Louis XIV chair ! Ya don’t bust a chair !!

Finally got the ménage a trois ya wanted , Gil!”

Those are the lines I remember from it going back more then 40 years 🤣

Was watching SCTV on Prime Video saw this classic

In the late 80s I seem to remember a skit where they are singing with Japanese accents, together as a band all dressed up on a big stage singing:

"seperate your garbage - hey, hey, HEY! - its not just you and me anymore - its a politcal world"

Looking for a link or even just confirmation that someone else remembers this and I'm not making it up! We watched a lot of Canadian TV in Detroit and this was something I caught as a teenager with my friends and we have all thought of it again and again over the last 35 years - every single time recycling needs to be sorted.
