My First Session Edit (Be Gentle) 😅✌️
New player here! I finished the missions last night, and was finally able to start what I consider "the real game" today. haha.
Here is my "first day" edit. lol. Only a few tricks, and they could have been much cleaner, but I'm actually starting to get comfortable with the replay editor now. (I wish I would have re-shot that off-centered Darkslide though!) 😭
My plan is to put together an edit once a week or so to track my progress. I think I'll keep each video between 0:45 & 1:30, and only feature 1 general location per edit.
Let me know if you have any tips, advice, or thoughts!
I'm playing with manual catch, but I freely adjust the "advanced" settings to each specific line / obstacle / task I'm practicing. The goal is to achieve your task with as little pop as possible right? Feels more stylish? I'm also learning that time of day and supplemental lighting are crucial for good footage.
Where can I learn more about session / skateboard videography? My end-goal is to make these clips feel hyper realistic. There are various styles I want to learn: Old-school & gritty "low budget" follow lines with a fisheye. Head-Cam POV shots. High budget "cinematic" dolly shots. Etc...
What real skate videos have the best videography in your opinion? Any tips on how to make tricks in-game look more stylish & realistic? I would appreciate any pointers you can give!
Anyone know of an 11 part, 6 hour YouTube series on making Session videos? lmfao.

Glitch i found to get everywhere
So basically my little brother was playing and he found out that by going into the object dropper and standing onto something you dropped and then moving it, you still stay on top of it. So he used this to get on top of buildings and get crazy air. I don't know if this has already been posted, but it's kind of a funny glitch to mess around with.

Are darkslides just impossible now?
Haven't played in like a year, and I used to be able to get the timing for darkslides like 25% of the time.
This morning I spent half an hour trying and only got two in like 150 attempts. Is this intended or am I missing something? The catch window feels like it's literally 1 millisecond now lol

Darkslides?
Can anybody confirm for me if darkslides are actually currently working or not? Im on PC now, but Ive played the game since 2021 primarily on Xbox. Bought the game on PC last month when I got my first PC and Im just trying to do the career.. Currently on the Zen Bridge mission and Barletta is requesting a darkslide. I know ive done them before, but now there is no option in advanced settings for darkslide catch angle. Ive dropped my flip speed down to 1, flip friction up to 20 and have not seen my guy even attempt to catch a darkslide.
TL;DR
I can catch primos and caspers when I want, but darkslides dont seem to be wanting to work and theres no longer an option for darkslide catch angles.
