Reddit seems to desaturate it quite a bit.

For the last 10 games ive had SO many ranged matchup its kinda insane (3x Lissandra, 3x Vladimir, 1x Teemo, 1x Gnar, 1x Quinn, 1x Vayne)
Is it becoming OP to just pick range in top lane? Have i missed something in some patchs?
How do you get through laning phase against ranged matchup and do you encounter a lot of them too or am i alone? I am PLAT 3 right now
ive always been a conqueror sett, but ever since i tried pta it just felt really good, with how easy it is (e > auto > q) and much more noticeable damage increase. (even in longer trades)
i watch geishuu a lot (when eating) and sometimes see he runs conq, can I ask what exactly entails the change to conq? is it when a matchup needs a certain playstyle, is it for the small sustain you get at max stacks?
P3 jg main looking for a Sett duo. Feel free to reach out if you want to try some games.
Anyone please T_T, I just want to play often at least 2-3 times per week. The ones I play with end up just playing lol once every 10 years or just quit u_u.
I play around 11am-6pm mostly but sometimes I can outside those hours. [NA/LAN/EUW/EUE]
I have been playing for about 6 months now and I notice that fighting the same enemies with the same items and runes, damage is different, especially against AI bots on PvP
Today I was fighting an AI Teemo as Sett, I have done this matchup a-lot since I started, so I know how much damage he takes and deals, and as I was hitting him I notice he is taking almost no damage but one of his darts hits me and takes half my hp, afterwards in another match, I fight another Teemo that is a real person, has the exact same runes and items, and I am doing the proper amount of damage to him and taking a-lot less
Is this just in my head or is this a known thing
I've started playing league recently, for past 3 weeks, I'm level 24 now, started off as jungle and started playing sett top (because he was cool asf) yesterday and really enjoy him. I'm just very confused because there's so much stuff I don't know, when to use which runes, when to build which items, I currently just use op GG and always go with the most popular build. Long story short, how can I learn and get better? just by playing more and more?
I started playing Sett about a week ago and have mainly been building tank sett. I’m not sure how uncommon that is but I got bodied a few times by tank sett over the last year. I took a bit of a break and have been liking Sett ever since coming back to league.
I build Heartsteel->titanic hydra->overlords bloodmail
I usually build whatever boots protect me against opposing champ or merc treads against cc. I don’t really know what to go from here. Should I build full tank? I read some where I should build bruiser from there like steraks or botrk. Any advice?
I feel like everytime I play him, I spend the entire game thinking "if I were Cho'Gath that would have gone so much better"
Like he has no real gap closer or slow purge, and his E is super short range
It's impossible to engage with him
And he's so squishy that by the time you face tank the enemy running in to E, it's time to immediately exit the fight post engage
I play him in the jungle and I'd like him to be good, but he actually has 0 escape whatsoever. His only slow pulls them on top of you. So I find myself having to use flash to survive, but then I can never gank because without flash there's no way to get into fights/ganks
How are you guys doing it? Do you just build first item tank item?
Hey there. Been recently picking up Sett and trying to practice him to add to my top roster.
But good lord does he feel slow and just unable to do anything vs CC or Singed.
Had a game so miserable vs Singed yesterday that almost made me uninstall the game.
Proxy Farming at lvl 1, after me and the jingler couldn't catch him, he had his JG on Standby until my tower was dead (kept spamming laugh and mastery too...).
Otherwise it takes with 3-4 cc heavy champs (just got out of a game with a Morgana, Lux, Kench and Oriana in their side).
How do you deal with this? Or just don't play him when you see the team is getting too CC heavy?
When I have a lane frozen against a less Sett favourable matchup, when is the appropriate time to stop freezing. I can freeze a lane for days, no worries at all but then my enemy laner starts roaming, I don’t know what to do. Because I’m technically giving them infinite prio to rotate to mid and my teammates jungle aswell. I use my pings a lot and I even type to whoever my enemy laner is heading towards. They usually don’t listen, die, and start spam pinging me calling me useless. So I’m looking for help on what to do in these situations. Obviously I’m not going to freeze a wave if grubs or herald are coming up - I am going to get prio. But that downtime between obj’s, when is the appropriate time to stop freezing? If my enemy laner leaves, do I instantly start pushing? In my head it makes more sense to never let them touch the wave and keep them poor, but I’m starting to wonder if I’m just playing this game badly. I am gold 3 looking to climb, but I feel like I’m letting my team down, and I’ll take any advice anyone can give me 🙏🏻
This is a digital drawing I made of sett a while back its a remake of an old one i had made and this time i think it looks a bit better? My style has changed a lot so I dont know if i can judge it fairly lul but he definitely looks hawt🤓

I'm in my first month of league and have been having a lot of fun. I got to level 30 playing a bunch of different champs and experimenting. But now that I've unlocked ranked, i want to actually learn about the runes and items and all the intricacies.
Right now, I'm in my Sett phase. I understand Sett has two main runes he goes for, grasp and conquerer. But when do you pick one over the other? The problem i have with runes is that they all seem useful. And i can never tell when one will be more or less useful than the other in any given matchup. I had the same issue with Pantheon when it came to PTA or Conquerer.
I read on other posts that you should pick grasp for shorter trades, and conquerer for longer trades. But what exactly is a shorter trade? It feels like every trade is a short trade until someone gets bored and decides to go all in. Like a Mordekaiser for example can just farm and incrementally chip you out with E and W, or he can sprint at you like a mad man and proc his passive.
I generally play PTA Sett almost every game - Conq if they have many bruisers/tanks.
In this match-up I started off aggressively and got first blood.
After that? I couldn't get close without getting poked with his W and occasional Q3 and him outsustaining me.
Another aspect is him using E to dodge or completely avoid my W. Meaning I can't use E or W until his E is used, which he never uses without either poking with his own W/Q3 and then sustaining from minions.
It felt a lot like playing into Gnar or a ranged top laner, oddly enough.
It was just really odd.
Mistakes I've made:
- Bad spacing: I got poked too frequently.
- Poor wave management to continue lane bullying after First Blood.
- Suboptimal uses of my Q onto the wave to keep pushing so that I can gain EXP faster than him. Didn't help and reduced my damage whenever he goes in.
Any tips?
