>— Developing any idea takes time and effort. In the case of Morvaine, I like the subject matter and enjoy immersing myself in it, but when it came to the Dark Web, I had to look into some rather unpleasant things.
>— Actually, it happens pretty spontaneously 😅 It depends on whether a reference comes to mind while I’m writing a scene or not. It was never a goal, but I enjoy referencing classics/memes since the characters live in the modern world; it makes them feel a little more alive.
>— There are a lot of posts about cutscenes on the channel) As for funny moments — I really like working from the office because you can ask absolutely anything out loud at any moment. The latest one was trying to find a synonym for the word “bastard,” but not a rude variation — a sexy one, and we spent 10 minutes going through swear words 😅

>— Yes. We will definitely learn the backstory of all the main characters and some of the secondary ones)
>— I’ve already written that I don’t like giving exact numbers when it comes to height (except when they’re required in character sheets), because everyone imagines themselves in the MC’s place. What feels like a “tall favorite” to me might be not tall enough for someone else, or the opposite — too much.) So I can only estimate the favorites’ heights in comparison to each other. Shade is the tallest in IC, while in Morvaine that spot belongs to Isaac.

>— I really love questions that dig deeper into the story, and I’m glad that you ask them, but I don’t think it would be fair to “add” details to the story on the blog that weren’t in the novel itself)

>— The beginning of development turned out to be more difficult than planned, because while writing the episodes, I came up with a radically different vision for the plot (the one you’re reading now), and I had to rework everything from scratch.

>— The setting (mysticism, horror, modernity) was the first thing that appeared for the story. Originally, I was supposed to write something different, something closer to everyday life, but I was offered this option, and after IoF I wanted to stir things up and try something new :)
>— Usually, we come to the artist with a detailed file: we describe the favorite, their personality, atmosphere, and attach references. These can be actors, models, or simply the character’s “vibe,” and the artist makes sketches. From there, we make corrections/choose between them and gradually refine the character.
>— I try to keep an eye on this myself and bring all controversial moments up for discussion; because Morvaine’s themes (ghettos, crime, horror) inherently involve immoral actions by the characters/some dirtiness/jump scares, and you need to think about the line that shouldn’t be crossed more often than usual. I try to break up the tension with humor so that players can have a chance to relax during the gaming experience. I’ll also say that not all of my jokes pass my own censorship either) because writing in the flow and proofreading an episode with a fresh mind are two completely different things 😄

I play a lot of VN apps, and SHS is one of my favorite because they are good to us English readers (i.e. we don't have to wait weeks for updates to be translated, the translation has improved SO much, etc). I began to think what kind of story settings would I want to see in SHS 🤔
I've been dying for a Regency Era story that gives Bridgerton vibes. Including the spiciness 🤭 I also want to be a mermaid or a fairy, something I haven't found in any other VN app (Silence of the Seas in LoD doesn't count because they never fully translated it).

Saw this ad today, and clearly that's Kaiden y'all lmfao
its so sad that its 17/08 already and its the middle of August and there is no news about the update. also they are deleting people's comments who ask them when will it be. they do this all the time — they say one date, but in the end they release it at a completely different time. the middle of the month is the period from the 11th to the 20th, inclusive. I doubt they’ll release the update in just 3 days, since the skins haven’t been shown yet. there’s no story poster either. It’s annoying — it goes from update to update, and the fact that “Rome” is missing is even more frustrating.
